Isabel Carter Heyward

[edit]

Sure, I would be happy to help. What should the title of the page be, Isabel Carter Heyward, Carter Heyward or something else? – ukexpat (talk) 20:22, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done - article now at Carter Heyward. – ukexpat (talk) 16:08, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article The Coventry Martyrs has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article does not meet the notability guideline

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Various improvements now made, and in my view article should not be deleted. In case it was unclear, have clarified that Alan Munden's Coventry Archives material was published (and remains available) - it was not simply privately viewed. Further evidence of notability: see Ipswich Martyrs, a very similar article. The phenomenon of execution for religious beliefs was an important part of 16th-century history, in Britain as elsewhere. Similar events occurred in Oxford, Derby and elsewhere. The fame or otherwise of those individuals executed is unimportant - what is of interest and importance are the executions themselves, as significant matters of historical record.
