AfC notification: Draft:Tony Ferguson (radio) has a new comment
[edit]AFC reviews
[edit]Unfortunately, it isn't possible for us to guarantee a time frame for AFC review of submitted drafts — the amount of time it takes is completely at the mercy of how many other drafts there are waiting to be reviewed, and how quick the queue is or isn't moving. It can vary based on how many people are reviewing the drafts that are ahead of it, and how easy or complex those are to deal with — unfortunately, just wanting your submission to get processed faster isn't really a reason why we could give it expedited special treatment. To be fair to everybody, we try to process AFC drafts in the order they were submitted as much as possible, so we just can't give a draft that was submitted less than two weeks ago any special treatment over and above the more than 2,000 older drafts that are still ahead of it in the line.
Looking at the draft, I can tell you that it's very unlikely that it would actually be accepted in that form. People aren't automatically eligible for Wikipedia articles just because they host local radio shows in individual markets — the notability criterion for radio personalities generally requires them to be host of a nationally syndicated or networked radio show, not just a single-market local one, and a local radio personality would only clear the bar if he could be really well-sourced as the subject of enough media coverage about him to clear WP:GNG, demonstrating a reason why he was much more special than the thousands of other local radio personalities in the United States who don't have Wikipedia articles. But three of the five sources you used are self-published content from his own employer and a fourth is a YouTube clip on his own YouTube channel, none of which are notability-supporting sources — people don't qualify for inclusion here just because they have staff profiles on their own employer's website or because they've self-published video clips to YouTube of themselves doing their jobs, because the notability test requires the sources to be independent of the subject.
The only source you've added that represents the kind of referencing we're actually looking for is the Cleveland Scene piece, "New Local Hip-Hop Radio Program Features Cleveland's Up-and-Coming Talent" — but he would still have to show a lot more than just one source like that before he was notable enough for inclusion here. So it is very unlikely that it would be accepted in its existing form, and you would have to work on finding much better, more independent sources if you want it to actually have a chance. Hope that helps a bit. Bearcat (talk) 13:35, 6 February 2020 (UTC)
