[edit]Hello, Mhsphilly. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Mercy Health System (Delaware Valley), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. RunnyAmiga ※ talk 20:00, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

Please help me with... I'm new at editing for Wikipedia. I was sent our company's Wiki page and told it was outdated and I should update it. Not trying to violate any rules. Just want the information to be accurate. But I got an email from someone saying I shouldn't be editing my company's page. If I don't, who will?

- First of all, please take a moment to review the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, particularly the section on "Paid contributions without disclosure", and make sure you are complying with the disclosure requirements.
- For editors with a conflict of interest, like yourself, it's considered best practice not to edit the article directly but to propose specific changes on the article's talk page and to leave the implementation to uninvolved editors. You can add the code
{{request edit}}
(including the curly brackets) to your proposal to increase visibility. Huon (talk) 21:13, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

Okay. I went to the article talk page and don't see anywhere to type. Forgive me for sounding stupid. Wikipedia just hasn't been on my radar as an editing tool. So I'm unfamiliar with it as anything other than a place to look things up.
I don't want to be blocked. I'm sorry I made those changes. I thought it was up to us to keep it up to date.

- The article's talk page, just like this one, has a "New section" tab at the top. You can use that to start a conversation on a new topic. Huon (talk) 21:46, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
