Did you know...?
[edit]Thank you for your recent contribution to Blastophaga psenes (I'm a big fan of all things fig-related).
I wonder if you would like to consider submitting it as a candidate for the "Did you know...?" feature. DYKs (as they are commonly called) are short snippets taken from Wikipedia's newest articles and, if approved, appear on the Main Page. You can learn more about this at Wikipedia:Did you know.
Your article Blastophaga psenes appears to meet the criteria for submission as a DYK, but would be greatly improved if you expanded the lead section to briefly summarize the main points of the article. If you choose to submit a short (and interesting) fact from your article, please read the rules and the supplementary guidelines carefully. Please ask me if you have further questions.
According to the DYK tool, your article was created or expanded on October 16. DYKs must be nominated within 7 days of the creation or 5-fold expansion of the article, so if you choose to submit your article, please act quickly! Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:56, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
DYK for Blastophaga psenes
[edit]On 12 November 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Blastophaga psenes, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the wasp Blastophaga psenes has a symbiotic relationship with figs? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Blastophaga psenes. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |
