Re: DZAY Alay Radyo

[edit]

Though actually the one you just blocked appears to be a Betrand101 sockpuppet, as his propensity for creating bogus radio station articles is his modus operandi, amongst other things. Blake Gripling (talk) 07:22, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Technical news

  • When performing some administrative actions the reason field briefly gave suggestions as text was typed. This change has since been reverted so that issues with the implementation can be addressed. (T34950)
  • Following the latest RfC concluding that Pending Changes 2 should not be used on the English Wikipedia, an RfC closed with consensus to remove the options for using it from the page protection interface, a change which has now been made. (T156448)
  • The Foundation has announced a new community health initiative to combat harassment. This should bring numerous improvements to tools for admins and CheckUsers in 2017.

YOU COMMENTED: Information icon Hello, I'm Mfield. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Revolving stage have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Mfield (Oi!) 04:21, 20 February 2017 (UTC)

WE COMMENT: We are the largest rotostage manufacturer and renter in the US, probably the world. We updated the page because it was nearly completely inaccurate and not useful. Rotating stages are not primarily theater pieces, 20 times more use is in trade shows and musical shows, not to mention weddings. Modern stages are not build as indicated. The links we provided is to the current rotostage webpage, and contains the web's most up to date information about rotating stages now available in the marketplace. If you want to keep the unhelpful, misleading content we will not attempt to assist further. I can be reached at admin@amerevent.com. Bob H. Amerevent Group. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.63.3.237 (talk) 15:21, 22 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2017 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Mfield. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Use of rollback

[edit]

Ummm .. rollback is for vandalism. If there is an explanatory reference to someone being a concentration camp commandant, and you change it to "soldier," that is not appropriate use of vandalism tools. Especially by an administrator. --2604:2000:E016:A700:F81C:D427:6CB1:E49F (talk) 07:10, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What happened here? APK whisper in my ear 06:00, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

wow, yeah that’s an embarassing story that it just took me a while to figure out. My son had installed a Chrome plugin that text swaps the name with random insults, which apparently it does also in the editor. Needless to say it has been removed, thankfully it chose one of its less offensive options that time around. A definite unexpected edge learning case there. Mfield (Oi!) 07:14, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ahh ok that makes sense. APK whisper in my ear 07:21, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
