content requires sources

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm TheRedPenOfDoom. I noticed that you made a change to an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 10:13, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Inbreeding depression may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "<>"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • by the corresponding wild-type allele, this masking phenomenon is referred to as complementation (see [[Complementation (genetics)]].
  • [[body mass index]]) has been studied among children with high frequencies of underweight ([[BMI]] <18.5 kg/m2) cases in proportion to increasing inbreeding coefficients.<ref>Fareed M, Afzal M. (2014)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 09:21, 28 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

Remember that when adding medical content please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations. WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a build in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN. We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 19:19, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It seems you are set on adding a primary source of which you are an author? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 16:07, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In almost all of your edits, you add bits of content sourced to papers that you wrote.

This is an abuse of Wikipedia to promote your work. Please stop. Please also read WP:SELFCITE and when others revert your additions of your own paper, do not add it back, but rather seek consensus on the article Talk page. If you continue to edit this way, you may be blocked per WP:PROMO.

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Jytdog (talk) 16:59, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A cup of coffee for you!

There is a community of Wikipedia editors on health topics at WikiProject Medicine. There are humans reviewing what you are doing. Would you please consider stopping in to the forum to say hello? You are quite welcome here. No one is sure if you understand the editing guidelines or how community review works. Blue Rasberry (talk) 14:41, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
