Welcome to Wikipedia, Mezmf! Thank you for your contributions. I am MartinPoulter and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time, so if you have any questions feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian!

Non-free files in your user space

[edit]

Hey there Mezmf, thank you for your contributions! I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:Mezmf.

  • See a log of files removed today here.
  • Shut off the bot here.
  • Report errors here.
  • If you have any questions, place a {{helpme}} template, along with your question, beneath this message.

Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 05:06, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again Mezmf. Ooops, this is my mistake. The majority of the images on Wikipedia are free to republish anywhere. An exception is corporate logos, including the UoB logo. These are not "free" but can be used in certain contexts to show which organisation an article is talking about. Overuse of a non-free image is automatically removed, as above. You've done nothing wrong! Cheers, MartinPoulter (talk) 13:27, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
