Asaworta
There is a mechanism for deleting pages. Use it if you think it is appropriate. It can be a cumbersome procedure; Please leave a message on my talk page if I can be of any help. Please do not just blank the page. Tom Harrison (talk) 16:13, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
Hawulti
Why did you delete Hawulti (the city, not the "hawulti"/stela of the same name in Matara) from the list of important Aksumite cities?
Yom 03:20, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, there is. I'm not sure if there's a modern village/town there, but it is an archaelogical site some kilometers southeast of Aksum and southwest of Yeha. You can see it here.
Please help
Hello there Mesfin, my Eritrean brother, ive been trying to add to the Eritrean history some information about dwellers from South Arabia (Kingdom of Saba) that took over the highlands. However, Yom who IS NOT ERITREAN keeps on changing this. It was thanks to them that Aksum/Ethiopia was made. This also proves that the tigrinya people were the original rulers. This is the link/ proof for my words http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6832088946086225375&q=ethiopia&pr=goog-sl. Thank you
- Hey Mesfin, it would be nice if you could coordinate efforts with me regarding Eritrea pages. This could be most easily done through the WikiProject, so just let me know! Thank you!--Merhawie 20:46, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks

Eritrean War of Independence
Do you know of anyway that we can footnotes a table? It seems that there were actually slight variations in the wording of the ballots. --Merhawie 20:03, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Sorry I didn't help out when the dispute was ongoing, but I was involved in another one, and it seemed like you and Merhawie had it relatively under control. — ዮም | (Yom) | Talk • contribs • Ethiopia 21:22, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Ge'ez Links
Why did you remove the link to my website on 22:25, 22 July 2008 ? No other site on the internet gives a free grammar and dictionary (although small) of Classical Ethiopic. Did you even visit the links? When I started studying Ge'ez, I looked for a website like the one I made. Do you want to deter people from studying it or something?
And I take offense that you called my website spam, especially considering how great an online contribution it is (sadly). There ought be more sites on Ge'ez by students, linguists, philologers, and teachers.

Asmara
The variant names from the US National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency are built into the global positioning system (GPS), which is currently used by developers of GPS military and consumer applications. Please do not remove them. Judygreenberg (talk) 03:44, 22 November 2010 (UTC).
Yes, indeed ኣሥመራ is a foreign word in that sense, but so is the English word "Asmara". Yet, Ethiopian or not, it is part of the database used by the global GPS system, and so it can be useful to, say, someone traveling to Asmara from Ethiopia, when the local GPS application uses that alphabet. Please do not allow personal feelings of nationalism to color your decisions regarding your decisions as to what is useful to others. (Judygreenberg (talk) 06:30, 25 November 2010 (UTC))
The relevance of the link is that it is a reference showing the source of the information. The information on that page comes from the US National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. See http://geonames.nga.mil/ggmagaz/. That cannot be the reference link, because it is a search engine which does not produce a separate page for the name requested, whereas the geographic.org pages are separate for each name. You can verify the accuracy of the information in geographic.org, by entering the name ASMARA in the NGIA search engine. The results are consistent with the name variant entries that I added to the Asmara article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Judygreenberg (talk • contribs) 06:39, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Bahta Hagos.jpeg
Thanks for uploading File:Bahta Hagos.jpeg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:11, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

Eritrea
Brother I appreciate your great knowledge of Eritrean history and your dedication to volunteering your time to editing articles. I am afriad I had to revert your edit due to the fact that Medri Bahri controlled most of modern Eritrea. Ottomans only colonized coastal cities. According to your reasoning, since Ottoman Egypt also colonized Harrar, that means all of Ethiopia was colonized. Harrar was only one city, as was Massawa and Asseb.Cluckbang (talk) 01:11, 13 June 2012 (UTC) |}
Thanks for your support of putting a more detailed timeline. I agree with you adding Ottoman Habesh to the section, although it my cause confusion and make it look like the Medri Bahri was colonized by the Ottomans. Cluckbang (talk) 01:11, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
