The article Sade Burrell has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. reddogsix (talk) 04:29, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Sade Burrell
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Sade Burrell, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be a clear copyright infringement of http://www.sadeburrell.com/about-sade/. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. reddogsix (talk) 04:31, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi - I received a notice about this. You need to assume that all content previously published elsewhere is held under a non-compatible copyright with Wikipedia unless it's clearly stated that the content has been released under a compatible Creative Commons copyright or is in the public domain. Even if it has been, it's a good idea to re-write the content anyway, as most stuff is written to promote a specific viewpoint or the topic in a particular light and as such would not fit Wikipedia's NPOV guidelines. I would like you to review the Plagiarism and Copyright training module before proceeding further. Thanks. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 13:40, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Sade burrell
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Sade burrell requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. - Regarding Speedy Deletion
- Hello, Meriamboggs. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. I'm sorry, but this has been deleted as meeting one or more of the Categories for Speedy Deletion. See the message above this one for more information about why this was deleted.
- Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects of articles must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources providing verifiable information. Someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject.
- Any deficiencies should be remedied before reposting as they can lead to repeated deletions.
- Wikipedia is not a webhost. You may wish to consider alternative outlets.
- If you want to try again, please use the Article Wizard to guide you through the creation process.
- You can make test edits in your sandbox.
- You may find this tool useful for finding sources: Google custom search
- Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources . Template:cite has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{references}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there.
Draft articles
[edit]You clearly know how to create a Draft article and submit it for review so what the problem with Sade burrell of Sade Burrell or whatever alternative spelling you want to chose? Please don't waste our time at the beginning of the academic year - Wikipedians try to be helpful to students on academic courses, but what you are doing is pushing the boundaries way too far. Please stop and rethink. Velella Velella Talk 21:33, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
Pictures
[edit]Hi - I saw that you uploaded File:Christa-mcauliffe.jpg, however there is already a version of this on the article at File:ChristaMcAuliffe.jpg, which is of higher quality. Because of this, I've tagged the image for deletion since it's superfluous to the original image. I'm also concerned about the copyright on File:Christa-signed-portrait.jpg, as you claimed this as your own work. Claiming something as your own work means that you created the picture itself (ie, you were the photographer), so this isn't a correct copyright. The image itself is by NASA, but I'm unsure if the public domain copyright changes because of the signature, since this alters the image. I've tagged it for review. If this would still fall under the public domain then the signature may qualify this to be kept. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:13, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
