Request reason:

I was blocked because my "account has apparently been compromised" but it has not. I appear to have been blocked on the same day I was messing around with creating books on my talk page. That was not an error, just experimentation. Thanks!

Accept reason:

Sure, what do you mean though? It was a while ago, but I was trying to experiment with ways to export all of the pages on my watchlist in a way that I could view them offline. --Mercury1 (talk) 21:40, 26 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I believe what triggered the block was the use of variations of the word "hagger" in those lists... which, if you know any of this history with this site (and I'm going to assume that you do if those were on your watchlist), was a word used by a page move vandal for years. That coupled with your account not being used in quite some time made it appear to have been compromised by that vandal. - Just for a warm fuzzy, could you tell me how come those pages came to be on your watchlist? Oh! Okay, I'm a little fuzzy on the details, but when I was pasting in pages I had on my watchlist (some for many years) I guess a few that had been added awhile ago had been vandalized (presumably by/in relation to "hagger". Since I mainly use my watchlist as a sort of bookmarks, I never noticed those pages to remove them until I copy/pasted as a test. Any relation to the vandal is totally unintentional. I don't really edit anymore, but this account is still active, and still under its original ownership. --Mercury1 (talk) 02:29, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
When a page is moved, the new title is added to any watchlists that the old title is on (I think this is still correct, it was at the time of the "Hagger" vandalism). It can appear unexpectedly, and there have been reports of this before - see Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Archive108#My_watchlist_.28Laleena.29 and Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Archive213#My_watchlist_has_been_hacked_and_vandalized.21. Okay, that's a good enough explanation. Unblocked; my apologies for the inconvenience. DS (talk) 22:47, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome, thanks guys. --Mercury1 (talk) 00:09, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
