Crispin Gonzalez

[edit]

Hi @Mercury's column, I took a look at your article on Crispin Gonzalez, and it's nicely written. The sourcing is little worrisome in the sense that I think it needs more sources. Would you be able to find any additional reliable sources that profiled Crispin Gonzalez? Perhaps your instructor, @Prof.Reinoza could guide you to some academic sources that might've written about him? The article runs the risk of being moved to draftspace as is. I'd encourage you to research a bit more, and see if you can find anything else on him, so that his article can stay up on Wikipedia. Brianda (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:19, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Brianda! @Mercury's column is in contact with the estate of Crispin Gonzalez and still trying to find additional sources. The artist is a pioneer of Chicano ceramics and an important historical figure so we remain hopeful that we will be able to prove notability. Prof.Reinoza (talk) 19:24, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok good. At least 2 more reliable sources like any newspaper coverage throughout his life, or any academics that profiled him or his work/impact in an academic journal, did he ever hold a named chair appointment at Chaffey, was he a member of any notable professional societies, did anyone write about his impact in Chicano ceramics - I'm just giving you ideas of possible leads to follow and explore. Fingers crossed Brianda (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:32, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Prof.Reinoza Thank you Mercury's column (talk) 22:10, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Brianda (Wiki Ed) Thank you so much for the advise, as Professor Reinoza mention, I'm in contact with Crispin's daughter and the article becomes more complete as soon as we review the information. You're right, the sources are just a few, there's no much information about him, but hopefully that's gonna change in the next weeks, with Jennifer Gonzalez and Professor Reinoza help.
