Hello, Mengyurui, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Major depressive disorder

[edit]

Hi, Mengyurui, please read the message I left another student about Major depressive disorder here. Regards, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:53, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As SandyGeorgia says, this isn't a suitable article for you to work on. Most importantly, because the article is a Featured Article it should be fairly complete. You're going to struggle to find much to add to the topic, and odds are that anything you find won't be suitable for a Wikipedia article. The experience of trying to find something to add is likely to be frustrating.
On top of that, of course, is the fact that a Featured Article is expected to conform to a lot of standards for layout, formatting, and style that aren't expected of most Wikipedia articles. That means that anything you did write would be unlikely to stick. For these reasons, I strongly encourage you to pick another topic. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:18, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
