Blocking this account

[edit]

After some careful and in-depth review, including the use of some special tools, I am blocking this and several other accounts, as they appear to be being used for social networking rather than for the improvement of Wikipedia. I note, as well, that several of these accounts have revealed the personal details of minors, which is strongly discouraged on this website, and which we routinely remove from view when identified. User pages are viewable by anyone on the internet and cannot be made "private", unlike sites such as Facebook. One account has made a reasonable effort to contribute to the building of the encyclopedia, and recently has been adopted by an experienced user, and I will leave that account unblocked in the hope that the user will continue the effort to be a productive and valued contributor.

Should this or the other accounts being blocked wish to contribute to the encyclopedia following our rules and expectations, the account holder should post some properly sourced proposed edits to articles on its talk page and can then request an unblock by using the {{unblock}} template. Oh... could you please unblock me? I'll be good from now on. I won't be useless and laze around in Wikipedia and only do social networking. Please? Mella Mouse (talk) 06:10, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As it says above: post some properly sourced proposed edits to articles on your talk page and THEN request the unblock. Accounting4Taste:talk 12:20, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I'm sorry for being so bad. Could I please be unblocked? I won't use wikipedia as a social website, and I'll be good. Please? I promise I won't be bad here.

Decline reason:

Please follow Risker's suggestion to you: "Should this or the other accounts being blocked wish to contribute to the encyclopedia following our rules and expectations, the account holder should post some properly sourced proposed edits to articles on its talk page and can then request an unblock by using the {{unblock}} template." In other words, find an article that needs some work - you can probably find one here - copy the portion you wish to work on below and make your proposed changes to it. Until then, any further unblock requests will likely be declined. —DoRD (talk) 15:15, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
