Hand spinning
[edit]Dear Melissa, I believe your idea of writing a new entry specifically dedicated to the subject is great, and I encourage you to do so. However, I don't reccomend you to fill that page with duplicate contents while you prepary the new text, as such contents are redundant and not necessarily deal with the subject in question. Therefore, I suggest you to temporarily leave it as a redirect, and meanwhile prepare the new article under your userspace, from where you can move it once the article is ready. This practice is very common, and it will allow you to work undisturbed, and at the same time, keep the article and its redirect working properly. A common place to work on articles at your userspace could be User:Melissab/Sandbox; simply follow that link and happy editing! If you need my help, don't hesitate to ask me. - Hi. I see that Phaedriel got here with the good advice after I went to bed. Sorry if I seemed harsh, but the approach you are now taking is the way to go. Noisy | Talk 07:18, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Spinning3.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Spinning3.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:09, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
