Socialist Alternative Rabble (non seditious)

[edit]

I accept that your 'contribution' to Socialist Alternative (Australia) is entirely accurate. It is neither encyclopedic nor NPOV, however. Moreover, it isn't referenced. Unless you can actually produce something to show that this is the case, beyond your own experiences, this stuff does not belong in an encyclopedia, true though it may be. I totally agree with the comments originally made. The problem is no one covers (nor cares) about a left-of-centre person addressing a lecture before its commencement. If I wrote a book on lecture bashing, you'd quote me, wouldn't you? --schgooda 05:22, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, i'll let you write the introduction and dust-cover. A better one than a certain M Latham:

  • 'Opposition politics feels like dog shit on the boot of democracy.'
  • 'I'm a sheep man in cattle country.'
  • 'It is not unusual for people who try to change the system to leave public life with feelings of betrayal and disappointment. This was certainly my experience as Labor Leader. My commitment to the Labor cause was destroyed by the bastardry of others.'

I have reverted another edit of yours to Socialist Alternative (Australia). My comments are exactly the same as last time. It seems you just want to rephrase everything to make it POV in an anti-SA direction. If you feel that the current content unduly favours SA, you should endeavour to make it more NPOV, add more objective, verifiable facts. Saying, for example, that SA members "refuse to leave university" is simply false, since that would imply that someone was trying to make them leave, which as I understand it is untrue. Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Mgekelly - Talk 14:04, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would also caution you that personal attacks are a clear violation of Wikipedia policy WP:NPA, not to mention just really fucking rude. Mgekelly - Talk 14:09, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

THOMAS CARR

[edit]

Hello, i created the Thomas Carr page and was just wondering. Did you/Do you go to Thomas Carr? Salochin

Warning

[edit]

Thank you for experimenting with the page Scotch College, Melbourne on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Blarneytherinosaur 05:56, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please clarify why Nick Demiris is notable? The Wikipedia essay on notablility says "A topic has notability if it is known outside a narrow interest group or constituency, or should be because of its particular importance or impact." I'm not sure that people outside Scotch/Melbourne Uni circles would be impacted by Mr Demiris. If his notability is not established I will remove his (your?) name from the Scotch Alumni list. Re:ALSF

[edit]

I'm not a Liberal student, nor am I associated with any Liberal (or any other political) organisations. The closest thing I have to do with the party is a strong distaste of my local member, Christopher Pyne.

I've reverted the edits several times. Try avoiding glowing language such as 'great' or 'legendary' when you add to the article. michael talk 10:52, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I revert many pages. I just happened to read it one day, added it to my watchlist, and when I see inappropriate content added I revert.
I understand that through the eyes of a Liberal student your leaders may be 'legendary', but through another's eyes this may not be the case. Keep the language neutral and non-partisan. michael talk 10:57, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good Cactus! Looks like another fan of Team Pyne!schgooda 13:36, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gareth Ward

[edit]

I am dissapointed you credit Gareth "Albino" Ward with something. --128.250.6.247 08:41, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
