Thamks for redirecting all those ringtone characters over to the Jamba! article — this seems like the best solution, considering how little information was there, and how US/UK-centric some of the articles were (in terms of chronology, use of the Jamster! name, etc.); not surprising, since I suspect most of it was written by the same teenagers who buy the ringtones. With most of the information in one article, there's more chance it'll be improved. ProhibitOnions 01:17, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
AFD nomination
[edit]Please don't make obscure two-letter AFD nominations. If you think that something is non-notable, explain in your nomination what criteria you are applying and why you think that the subject doesn't satisfy those criteria. Uncle G 19:56, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
- I have to second that. Give the reason you think something is nn even when it's very clear from the article. Otherwise, great work on nominating! Renata3 04:09, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
Please also properly format your AfD entries. Thanks. Arviragus 19:13, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
I was under the impression that AfD entries need either a Delete or Speedy Delete somewhere in the nomination. Your efforts are excellent, and I'm also a relative newbie, so take what I say with a grain of salt! Also, consider capitalising proper nouns and the first word of every sentence, and adding periods to the ends of your sentences. Thanks :) Arviragus 19:23, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Don't remove red links like this. They serve an important purpose - showing which articles we are missing. Also, that his has been researched quite a bit and those links go to the most preferable name for each game. -- Netoholic @ 22:08, 23 December 2005 (UTC)

Proposed merger of 2004 Upper Deck NBA Exquisite Basketball into Upper Deck Company, LLC
[edit]I think incorporating this material in to the article is a great idea. I've been meaning to create sub-sections in this article on the different divisions of Upper Deck. However, 2004 Upper Deck NBA Exquisite Basketball needs an extreme makeover before it becomes a part of the Upper Deck article. --malber 13:59, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for resurrecting Christina Yu
[edit]Ciao Melaen - Thanks for reverting Christina Yu! ..I've wanted to this for a month, but was just too lazy. Rubyfruit Jungle stub
[edit]You removed the stub notice from Rubyfruit Jungle. While it is not as short the usual stub (and certainly not an "un pomme est un fruit"-microstub) it lacks any of the analysis (both of the book itself and the response to it - and the effect it had on the world) that characterise an encyclopedia article. Please explain why you removed it. --대조 | Talk 08:23, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
I removed your speedy deletion tag from this article. Yes, there's almost no content to it save for the link to Wikibooks Cookbook, but considering administrator User:Uncle G felt it wasn't necessary to delete, I'll defer to his judgement on it. Regards, howcheng {chat} 19:56, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Hotel Hangout Copyright
[edit]Hi! You listed the premiere episode of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody called "Hotel Hangout" as a possible copyright violation. Putting aside whether it was (I didn't write it or post it, so I have no vested in it), the page was in need of a rewrite which I did completely and put on the temp page. Can you please guide the process to replace the entire original page (and the copyright violation notice) with the new temp page? Thanks! MKaiserman 04:58, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Request for edit summary
[edit]Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 23% for major edits and 24% for minor edits. (Based on the last 150 major and 150 minor edits in the article namespace.)
This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear impolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 00:03, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Using the search terms literati yahoo -site:yahoo.com, Google gives about 186,000 results. A Google Groups search turns up 1,070 hits. As I am writing this, at 1:15AM US East Coast time, there are comparable numbers of people playing Literati, chess and spades. There are over 80 lounges (think chat rooms) occupied by more than half a dozen people right now. The total number of participants currently is well over 6,000. I feel like late Monday night/early Tuesday morning is probably a low point in traffic. I'm not sure what notability guideline an online board game variant falls under. It's certainly as notable as the scrabble variants listed in the see also section of Scrabble. —WAvegetarian•CONTRIBUTIONSTALK• EMAIL• 06:53, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

If you don't understand the importance of the Commissioner of the LPGA Tour, that just shows that you are ignorant about sports. Notability on salisburyboy

Categories
[edit]Please don't split up decent-sized plant categories (e.g. Category:Saxifragales) into numerous minuscule categories containing only a tiny handful of articles - it makes checking for recent changes a tedious pain! - thanks, MPF 23:53, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

Dragonslayers notabillity?
[edit]I've added an argument for why dragonslayers is notable enough to not justify deletion on the talk page if you wish to check it. There are plenty of subjects covered in wikipedia which are of interest to fewer people, so i feel that it deserves an article.

Yes, it sure does look like an advertisement. In fact, it's copied from the web site of the author's literary agent. I considered just deleting the whole thing as a copyvio, but instead I just properly sourced it to the literary agent, who probably planted the article. The book really did win prizes and has good reviews, so it deserves an article. --John Nagle 21:15, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Hello, I saw the 'boxes' on the "The Disowned Self" and "Disowned selves" pages.
I'm too new to Wikipedia to understand what if anything my next step might be.
I was looking at the list of psychological topics and saw "Disowned selves" in red. I'm very familiar with what Branden means by this and I've studied Hal Stone's work and spoken with him a few times when in Los Angeles, so I thought I'd make a start of an article.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. (For example, is this the right place to put this. Or should I have typed all of this into the Talk pages behind the articles?)

I fully understand why you put the {{advert}} tag on the Ann Taylor (retail chain) article. I created the article as it is references in about two dosen articles, several of which I have worked on. As a male who has had little experience shopping at any of the chain's stores, I was forced to use publicly available information as a source. Wherever possible, I eliminated the advertising nature of the text and where necessary, quoted terms used by the company to desscribe their products and services, marked in quotations. In the future, if you are unwilling to pitch in yourself and make the edits you feel are required, it would be far more helpful to me (and other Wikipedians) if you would take the time to describe the specific issues you have with the text, rather than just marking it with a tag and doing no more. Theta Beta Potata PUNK HOUSE Deletion Review
[edit]This article was first started by me and was deleted back in May '06. I was reading the punk house article and saw that the link for the TBP article was no longer red so I clicked on it and there was an article back up, started by another user. I dont know who started it because, it was deleted soon after I saw it. The decision made in the "Article for Deletion" debate should be reconsidered. The article is about a punk house not a fratenal organization. It seems that the debate, run by User:ChrisB and results were reported by User:Mailer Diablo. I will post this on their talk pages. This is the first time I have requested a deletion review so please let me know what else I need to do. If there is anything. I am on wikipedia frequently and I want to learn. Thanks.
