Request for an Interview
[edit]Hi Meitar95,
I recently sent you a message about CA Boca Juniors (beach soccer).
I am a researcher at Carnegie Mellon University examining how to make interaction in Wikipedia more effective. Our research has shown that certain types of feedback encourage Wikipedians to edit more while others seem to discourage them. Experienced and less experienced Wikipedians seem to have different reactions to very similar feedback. I am interested in interviewing you about your reaction to the message I sent you. A discussion with you will help us better understand the types of feedback that can encourage newcomers's participation to Wikipedia without turning off old-timers.
I can talk with you via online chat, on Skype, over the phone, or just through Wikipedia messages if you are more comfortable with that. The interview should take take less than 60 minutes. You do need to be over 18 years old, and consent to be a part of the study in order to for me to interview you. This study has been approved by Carnegie Mellon's research ethics committee (the IRB), and the Wikipedia Research Committee.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon. We will be glad to send you a draft describing our research results right after the interview.

- I did not understand why do you want to delete all of 2013-2018 Israeli Beach Soccer League... I gave an extensive coverage of every season, including the goal scorers for each match, every season I watch all the games of the season especially to cover them later, so why when 2018 league is about to start, all of the 6 seasons that I wrote are considered for deletion? Goals
[edit]When you add the goal time please note that 0:01 means 1st minute, just as 0:57 is 1st minute. What you do is rounding up as if they were decimal fraction.--User:Tomcat7 (talk) 17:58, 2 June 2018 (UTC)

SmackDown
[edit]Hey, I notice you have helped with translating some English pages into Hebrew. My Hebrew isn't perfect but I try to help out there when possible. I am shocked WWE SmackDown doesn't have its own page there. If you have free time it might be a good page to create. Thanks. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 14:51, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
- Ok, thank you for helping, it is very nice of you. About SmackDown, I know, it is a shame that it does not have a page of its own... the only reminder of SmackDown in Hebrew's Wikipedia is on the WWE page and it has one paragraph that contains barely 3 rows... I tried once to create SmackDown's page but I saw that when I wanted to create it under "סמאקדאון", it redirected me to the SmackDown's paragraph on WWE's Wikipedia page. So I kind of gave up on that... Meitar95 (talk) 16:11, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah...I saw you created Mixed Match Challenge, 205 Live and some PPVs, thats why I figured you would be a good person to reach out to about SmackDown. Thank you for all your work over there, very few people edit WWE stuff there it seems. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 16:53, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
A little help
[edit]Hey, I know you are more fluent in Hebrew than I am, so I was hoping you could find some Israeli sources to help me fill in some gaps. David Starr taking on Jay Lethal for the ROH Championship has gotten quiet a bit of news due to Starr's comments. It appears that the match is taking place at Israeli Pro Wrestling Association's Passover Bash. Based on everything I can find online this promotion closed in 2014 and converted into just a school. But it appears they also have a IPWA Championship match with Matt Sydal announced. Is there a hole I am not finding in English sources? Is the promotion back and holding events with a championship again? If so, can you help me update the article? Thanks - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 13:40, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
- It's a bit difficult to define IPWA's status. IPWA does not function as a regular organization with active championships, but it indeed has a school under the guidance of the founder, Gery Roif. Roif "revived" the promotion in order to bring some high caliber wrestlers from all over the world, but it does not seem that the promotion is active on a regular basis like for example All Wrestling Organization (AWO) Promotion. Currently, The Passover Bash's event (that will take place on 21 April) only includes 2 matches, but more matches will be announced soon. I added some sources that I found to what you wrote on IPWA page if it helps you :) Meitar95 (talk) 16:44, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks. Everything I see online says the championship was retired in 2014, do you know if this is the first defense since then? Riof was not the champion when it was retired so how did he get it? - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 16:51, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
- You right, Roif was not a champion when the championship was deactivated... but maybe it because he is the founder so he has the privilege to make this much against a wrestler with a reputation as Matt Sydal in order to create "buzz", you see how this situation around this promotion is complicated? In my opinion, if Sydal wins, the championship will deactivate once again, as IPWA did with Tatanka in 2012 and AWO did with Chris Masters in 2014. Moreover, on the IPWA's website you can read the following "Our goal is simple: to supply the die-hard wrestling fans in Israel a home and bring the best professional wrestlers from the indie scene around the world and have professional wrestling shows just as good as abroad, so our industry can grow and thrive in the future", so I really do not think that the promotion & championship will be activated once again.
