- "I only ask because you put him as (half Jewish) a long time ago."
- Strange. I did, but I've no idea why (it was 2 years ago!). If I find out then I'll be sure to let you know. Udzu 20:20, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
I am afraid that I strongly disagree with your suggestion, and I have explained why on the talk page. I would urge you not to move it again without further discussion among interested editors.--Newport 00:30, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
when two sources say opposite things
[edit]As I said on WP:RS...
- It is not up to us to determine if people are Jewish, Christian or Whatever... All we can do is report what other people say. State that there is debate on whether these men are Jewish or not. Present both sides of the debate in a NPOV manner, citing the sources (double check the websites, make sure that they are reliable, and not personal sites). As for the lists and categories... all of these should probably have a section for "debated" or something, where you can list people like this. Blueboar 14:47, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Beyond that, I do not know enough about the sources to know if they are reliable or not... you are going to have to battle that out on the talk pages. If it were up to me, I would ban all "List of..." pages and all categories that deal with controvercial issues like race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, etc... Far too many arguments result because someone wants a controvercial figure on/off the list or category. But that's just my opinion. Sorry I can't be more help. Blueboar 01:32, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
