Adolf Hitler
[edit]Hi, Just stopping by to say that someone has tagged Adolf Hitler (Calypso) with a stub tag so you'll need to get that removed. With regard to DYK, it is currently in the April Fools Day holding area but I would advise you to break the article down into sections because April Fools Day hooks always get an extra level of scrutiny, especially ones that touch on controversial topics. [edit]Hi and thanks for suggesting Women's suffrage in Switzerland for WP:Selected anniversaries/February 7. Unfortunately, the article has a big orange maintenance tag at the very top, and per the rules, that makes it ineligible for inclusion. Please continue to suggest other articles that do meet the inclusion criteria. Thanks. —howcheng {chat} 07:54, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
DYK for Adolf Hitler (Calypso)
[edit]On 1 April 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Adolf Hitler (Calypso), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in 1941, a Trinidadian king was crowned with the assistance of Adolf Hitler? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Adolf Hitler (Calypso). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Adolf Hitler (Calypso)), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Disambiguation link notification for September 12
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited September 11, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Swiss. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - I do have to add on that you are getting extremely disruptive at the article with this ongoing edit warring, and it's creating a major timesink for those us trying to get you to follow basic expectations like WP:BRD, much less basic article structure issues. You've been repeatedly told even after your edits didn't get traction that you need to get consensus on the talk page for the edits you want, not keep trying to reinsert them. Keep in mind that WP:3PO is for disputes that only have two editors involved, not those where others have commented already. Nor is saying you are just adding in a tag you haven't been able to justify on the talk page an excuse to sneak in other content like you did here. I get that you are relatively new, but multiple editors have explained to you that you are grossly misunderstanding some basic policies and guidelines while still just barreling ahead with edits. That needs to stop, and you need to follow how WP:CONSENSUS works before resuming. 01:22, 14 July 2023 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by {} (talk • contribs)
Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the template.
