How does posting with regards to references work?

{{helpme}} Your question. --Medisin (talk) 12:52, 5 August 2009 (UTC) Can one submit a article about someone with references to a press release? For example "album title" is an album by "artist name". The rest of the article would only contain information relating to the press release and in an non-promotionary way. Or are press releases not allowed as references?

In a word, no - a press release is a primary source, so it does not help to establish notability - the applicable policy in this case will be WP:BAND. For more help, you can either;

• Leave a message on my own talk page; OR
• Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end; OR
• Talk to us live, with this or this.

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment.
