Welcome to Wikipedia
[edit]Hi, I'm Oiyarbepsy and I can see fairies.
Welcome and thank you for joining and editing Wikipedia.
It looks like you might be having trouble getting used to how Wikipedia operates. I want you to succeed and make great contributions, and I'm here to help. Please click this link, then hit the new section button, and let me know what you'd like to learn. I really like to pretend to know what I'm doing here, so I'm sure I'll give you the right answer, and if I don't, you can whack me with a trout.
Thanks, Oiyarbepsy (talk) 15:16, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
By the way, this is not an automated bot that placed this message. Yes, it is boilerplate, but it won't appear anywhere if I don't put it there.
File permission problem with File:Sister Khanti Khema.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Sister Khanti Khema.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 15:17, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
@Explicit I was already in the process of getting permission. I had sent a email within the 7 days period, Yesterday email sent to permissions@wikimedia.org by copyright holder herself. Please restore the file Sister_khanti_khema.jpg Mcolombowala (talk) 06:46, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Dharmalion76. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. I am not trying to promote anything here. This is stating of facts. Estimates are also a means of communicating a information. Not everything has a central referencing point. That does not mean it did not happen. Here I feel my free speech is being trampled on by not allowing me to convey an idea that the book was widely distributed. No books were sold for money and thus there is no promotional aspect to this. I am new here but I am sure a re-editing of words would have been sufficient. Removing the complete thing seems too much. - Your "free speech" has no bearing here. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and information needs to be verifiable and not original research. Dharmalion76 (talk) 05:27, 13 May 2016 (UTC)
Hello, I'm JimRenge. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to the page Sister Khanti-Khema have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. You have added potentially unreliable weblinks as sources several times in this article. Please see WP:RS, WP:EL, and WP:SPAM. Thank you. JimRenge (talk) 18:14, 12 May 2016 (UTC)

Article for deletion
[edit]Sorry, LLC Books publishes printed wikipedia articles (WP:CIRCULAR). You wrote: "Also I have a scanned copy of her interview dated 16th May 2016 in a Main news paper in Colombo Sri Lanka ...". I see no reason why you should not use this source. Please use the complete info about this source, author , date, correct title of the article and newspaper. I assume additional reliable sources will be needed to establish notability. Perhaps some newspaper reported about her ordination? Good luck JimRenge (talk) 15:56, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
