[edit]Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Gospel for Asia, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Nat Gertler (talk) 17:24, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
Hello, and thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedia! However, you should know that it is not a good idea to remove citations or information sourced through citations simply because a link to a source is not working, as you did to Gospel for Asia. Dead links should not be deleted. Instead, please repair or replace the link, if possible, and ensure properly sourced information is retained. Often, a live substitute link can be found. Links not used as references, notes or citations are not as important, such as those listed in the "External links" or "Further reading" sections, but bad links in those sections should also be fixed if possible. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Nat Gertler (talk) 17:25, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Mckaylagrace, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to Johnnie Moore Jr. have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:18, 1 October 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:GFA Canada, from its old location at User:Mckaylagrace/sandbox/GFA Canada. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Sulfurboy (talk) 18:39, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
Your submission at Articles for creation: GFA Canada (May 20)
[edit]- If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:GFA Canada and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
- If you now believe the draft cannot meet Wikipedia's standards or do not wish to progress it further, you may request deletion. Please go to Draft:GFA Canada, click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window, add "{{Db-g7}}" at the top of the draft text and click the blue "publish changes" button to save this edit.
- If you do not make any further changes to your draft, in 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and may be deleted.
- If you need any assistance, you can ask for help at the Articles for creation help desk, on the reviewer's talk page or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help from experienced editors.
Hello, Mckaylagrace!
Having an article declined at Articles for Creation can be disappointing. If you are wondering why your article submission was declined, please post a question at the Articles for creation help desk. If you have any other questions about your editing experience, we'd love to help you at the Teahouse, a friendly space on Wikipedia where experienced editors lend a hand to help new editors like yourself! See you there! Sulfurboy (talk) 18:39, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Disclosure
[edit]The Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use require that editors disclose their "employer, client, and affiliation" with respect to any paid contribution; see WP:PAID. For advice about reviewing paid contributions, see WP:COIRESPONSE.

I appreciate that you are finally disclosing your conflict. However, you are doing this in not quite the right place. This is your "user talk" page, which is different from your "user" page where the disclosure is supposed to go. Please copy this disclosure to User:Mckaylagrace. --Nat Gertler (talk) 17:23, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for flagging this for me Nat Gertler. I originally tried to place it there, but I get this warning:
Connected contributor (paid) should only be used on talk pages.
So I am unable to use this template on the User page.
- The proper template to put on your User page is Template:Paid. The template you used here is one that would go on the Talk pages of the articles that you've been involved in on a paid basis. --Nat Gertler (talk) 18:42, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
Nat Gertler Got it. Thanks so much! Mckaylagrace (talk) 18:53, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not edit articles with whose subjects you have a declared conflict of interest. Take your concerns to the article talk page and explain the content you think should be changed. Tiderolls 18:57, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
Your draft article, Draft:GFA Canada
[edit]Hello, Mckaylagrace. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "GFA Canada".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 20:24, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Liz Read! Talk! 22:53, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hello, Mckaylagrace,
- Please refrain from promotional language in articles, like where you boast about book sales. Those mentions are appropriate for a personal website but not an encyclopedia article. If you have questions about what is considered spam or advertising, please bring them to Wikipedia:Teahouse where experienced editors can offer you a second opinion besides my own. Thank you.
