Please don't move articles without prior discussion
[edit]Hi there, re: this, please don't move articles without discussing the changes beforehand. You also didn't include a valid justification for the move in an edit summary, so other editors such as myself have no idea what your rationale is. Wikipedia is a collaborative project, which means that you need to communicate with other collaborators. As near as I can tell, the film's title still hasn't been settled per this reference, which says that the name change is a rumour. So changing the article title is completely arbitrary and premature, unless you have a definitive source handy that says the title is set in stone. Thank you. [edit]Please stop making disruptive edits.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. — CactusWriter (talk) 16:40, 23 February 2017 (UTC)

Mchoudhury11, surely when you edited The Ring (2017 film) you noticed the giant edit notice that appears at the top of the page. In case you somehow missed the giant red notice, it looks like this. If you want to change the name of the film, you're going to have to discuss the issue. There were inconsistent reports about the film's final name, and "Rahnuma" was a rumoured possibility per this, not a definite decision. Since we don't make changes based on rumours, reliable sources that confirm the name change need to be brought to the talk page for review. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:55, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Materialscientist (talk) 23:12, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
Arbitrary cast reordering
[edit]Hi there, please refrain from arbitrarily reordering cast and/or starring roles as you have done here and here and here. This tends to look like you're merely entertaining a personal preference, instead of operating by existing community guidelines like as indicated at Template:Infobox film and WP:FILMCAST. As you can imagine, if everyone came by to reorder based on their personal favorites, it would get disruptive quickly. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:49, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
Also, in this edit you miscapitalised "guest appearance". These should not be capped. They should also not be included in parentheses if they could easily be incorporated in to the sentence. And in this edit, section headings are written in "Sentence case" not "Title Case". Please note the difference in capitalisation. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:54, 26 March 2017 (UTC)

Last notice about arbitrary cast reordering
[edit]Re: this, please stop reordering film cast lists without providing an explanation that is consistent with established guidelines. See Template:Infobox film and WP:FILMCAST and WP:TVCAST. If you reorder cast again without providing a valid explanation, it will likely result in your editing privileges being interrupted, and that's a ridiculous thing to be blocked for. To put into perspective why this is an annoyance, in years past we had two editors who kept going back and forth over who should be listed first in a Malayalam film, Mammootty or Mohanlal. Back and forth, back and forth. We're not here to entertain arbitrary personal preferences, and this is why there are established community guidelines. Please adhere to them. Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Happy New Year (2014 film) , without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. A Flying jatt
[edit]What is your problem Mr.Mchoudhury11? Why are you rearranging cast order in A Flying jatt page which has been arranged according to IMDB?Khairaarsh (talk) 18:18, 24 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Khairaarsh: IMDb is not an authoritative source for credit order. See WP:RS/IMDB. For guidelines on how the Wikipedia community prefers to arrange cast, see Template:Infobox film for infobox concerns and WP:FILMCAST for order in the body of the article. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:17, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
@Cyphoidbomb: Thanks for the information. But I've some questions. 1) If a film is yet to be released and there is only an IMDB page, then would it be wrong to refer IMDB for Cast ordering? 2) Secondly, for this movie "A Flying Jatt" will it be better to arrange cast as per "Times of India" [[1]] which is a prominent Indian news group than IMDB?
