Doughnut

[edit]

Hi! I wanted to explain why the content you added to doughnut was removed. The main reason was that the content just wasn't considered to be encyclopedic as far as Wikipedia's guidelines are considered. Most "best of" lists aren't considered to be authoritative enough to list on Wikipedia, as these lists typically have to be notable enough to have their own articles or major enough to be listed on the articles for the parent company (in this case Business Insider). The biggest thing that would make them authoritative would be that multiple independent and reliable sources would list it as authoritative. Part of the issue with lists like the one in Business Insider is that this is based on the writer's opinion, so the list is fairly subjective. It's not really like lists like the Billboard music lists.

That aside, the doughnuts in that news source look amazing! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:02, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
