Dates

[edit]

As per MOS:DATE, dmy format does not have a comma after the day. – 2.O.Boxing 19:06, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please keep this in mind and avoid making any further changes. Kosack (talk) 12:18, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If you keep at this, you'll be blocked for disruption that other people have to spend time cleaning up. You've been told the same thing about date format countless times, including by Kosack and Squared.Circle.Boxing above. Please stop this, and ask questions if you are confused. Thanks, Airplaneman (talk) 15:43, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Steve McManaman, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Per MOS:DATE. Mattythewhite (talk) 15:51, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

May 2020

[edit]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Jakub Błaszczykowski. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Per MOS:DATE. Mattythewhite (talk) 13:52, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at Tammy Abraham, you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Per MOS:DATE. Mattythewhite (talk) 14:42, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Will Jääskeläinen. GiantSnowman 15:42, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The important things for this is that in date first (aka British) dates, we don't use commas. So in the US, it would be May 27, 2020 (with the comma), but in UK, it's 27 May 2020 (no comma). Joseph2302 (talk) 15:43, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

June 2020

[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you make disruptive edits to Wikipedia contrary to the Manual of Style, as you did at Paul Turnbull. Per MOS:DATE. Mattythewhite (talk) 23:09, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ANI notice

[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Joseph2302 (talk) 10:48, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If I see one more edit from you with the summary "improved grammar" but doesn't (per the explanations set out above), I will be forced to block you from editing until we can have a discussion. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:29, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Squared Circle Boxing, Kosack, Airplaneman, Mattythewhite, GiantSnowman, Joseph2302, and Ritchie333 ... I don't usually read my Talk page because I thought I was making minor changes, and I'll admit that I thought I was doing that right, but from what I see here I am clearly doing something that is really annoying for you all. Rather than argue it out, I'm going to take this opportunity to stop editing for a while and read through the Manual of Style like you said. I've only been editing since February so I clearly have a lot to learn, and from now on, I'll be a lot more careful when making changes. McGod1911 (talk) 15:51, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
