Speedy deletion of "RIBE"

[edit]

A page you created, RIBE, has been tagged for deletion in accordance with our deletion policy. In particular, it meets one or more criteria for speedy deletion; the relevant criterion is:

Blatant advertising. Pages which exclusively promote some entity and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten to become encyclopedic.

Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Speedy deletion of Polydrive

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Polydrive requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Chris19910 (talk) 11:00, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re your comment on that page about the "Screw drive types" table, the table can be edited by editing the page Template:Screws and it can be added to the article by including the text ''{{Screws}}''. Hope that helps. Rwxrwxrwx (talk) 11:35, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reply re your edits

[edit]

Hi there, sorry for the delay in responding - I've been away for a couple of days. I have looked at your contributions and I think you are doing a great job. It is just unfortunate that you were bitten by Chris199910 who, as you can see from the warnings on his talk page has made some very ill-judged (I'm being polite here) speedy deletion nominations and part of the fall out from that is that he discourages new editors as he incorrectly makes them feel that it is they who have done something wrong. Kind regards & please do stick with it. nancy (talk) 19:04, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
