Hi Madison, focusing on the excavation and preservation is definitely a good idea. Looks like that section needs to be highlighted in the original wiki link. I like the section that you have included thus far. Look to find more sources that focus on the how architects were able to preserve the Roman Forum. Accounts from past architects could provide some useful information for this section. Maybe look towards JSTOR. Hopefully they have more information included on excavation and preservation.
I think you did a really good job improving on what was there. The original article lacked a lot of specific information that was really key to the history being told. Your addition of dates and names gives the article a greater feel of historical significance. You mentioned that the people excavating the Forum had the three objectives for its discovery. Is there any information about specifically how they went about unearthing it and making sure that it remained intact throughout the process, or if any special care was taken to preserve a specific part of the structure. I know that sounds more like an archaeological topic, but it may be interesting to readers who will find it informative.
