ANI

[edit]

Greetings,

Just wanted to let you know there's an ANI report regarding an issue you're involved with. Please see Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Continuation_of_disruptive_edits_by_Mayerroute5_on_return_from_ban when you have time. Your recent editing history at 2018 Formula One World Championship shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 23:05, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Mayerroute5, it has now been three days since you made those edits. You have not made any attempts to justify your edits and a third party has pointed out that there is a valid edit-consensus. As such, I am going to restore the original "[note #]" format on both the F1 and F2 articles. If you wish to change these back, please continue the discussion on the talk page. If you continue to revert the edits without discussing them, your actions may be considered disruptive and you will be referred to the admins. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 21:51, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It's similar at the IPL articles. I think this user needs to be blocked.--Anaxagoras13 (talk) 16:55, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see any evidence of it being an agreed upon consensus, but I won't make any more edits about the markup in the articles before trying to set a new consensus. Mayerroute5 (talk) 22:35, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
But you did make more edits!!! So stop that nonsense please!--Anaxagoras13 (talk) 14:12, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 11:34, 14 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Home ground

[edit]

Home ground conditions only apply when there is home-away match in league stage. In the playoffs that isn't the case. Human (talk) 08:38, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

And again: there are no home teams in the IPL play-offs! The venues for the play-off games are determined before the season, so it's clear that there are no home teams. Just to consider: in the FIFA World Cup Russia was the away team in the Round of 16 and against Uruguay.--Anaxagoras13 (talk) 09:37, 28 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits. You do not seem to understand the concept of collaborative editing, and continue to make edits that you have repeatedly been told to be wrong by multiple editors.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Black Kite (talk) 13:42, 28 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't make it anything better if you delete other users postings!! :-) --Anaxagoras13 (talk) 10:56, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
