Welcome!

Hello, Mayanalda, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. Again, welcome!  -- WikHead (talk) 06:39, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mayanalda! your references are still all there, they just look different now that I cleaned up the article. Regards. :)  -- WikHead (talk) 06:39, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • You added <ref>[http://www.allmusic.com/artist/eg-daily-p26323/biography]</ref>
  • ... and I formatted it as <ref>{{cite web|last=Henderson |first=Alex |url=http://www.allmusic.com/artist/eg-daily-p26323/biography |title=E.G. Daily |publisher=AllMusic |date=2002-01-11 |accessdate=2011-08-12}}</ref>
It's still the same link to the same site, but now it has a text label and access date.  -- WikHead (talk) 07:01, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mayanalda. In response to your message, it would appear upon a quick glance that your image should display in the infobox if the following line was added:

| Cover = ""Motor-Cycle" LP cover-Lotti Golden.jpg

With that said however, Motor-Cycle (album) is most likely to either be speedy deleted or redirected to Lotti Golden if additional content is not quickly added. Categories and an infobox alone, is simply not enough content to hold that name-space open.  -- WikHead (talk) 02:03, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The image is now displayed... but the article desperately needs some written content.  -- WikHead (talk) 04:08, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ahhh... much better! :) I'm actually surprised that nobody had redirected it already, and certainly glad that I'm not the one who had to. The issues I was most concerned with have indeed been addressed! Happy editing and best of luck with your new article. :)  -- WikHead (talk) 06:24, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Mayanalda, thanks again for your message. I've taken a quick look through your recent edit history, and assume by this, that your red link problem may be due to a simple typo or spelling error. It seems you are typing "Moto" rather than "Motor". I'm quite sure you'd get a blue link if you went back and added the missing letter "R". Hope this helps. :)  -- WikHead (talk) 13:37, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You're most certainly welcome Mayanalda. Have fun, and be good. ;)  -- WikHead (talk) 03:18, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Warp 0 Sci-Fi Image.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Warp 0 Sci-Fi Image.jpeg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 12:24, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:12" Promo "I Specialize in Love" Expose.jpeg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Non-free use disputed for File:12Promo"I_Specialize_In_Love"_Exposé.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:12Promo"I_Specialize_In_Love"_Exposé.jpeg. Unfortunately, I think that you have not provided a proper rationale for using this image under "fair use". Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. Note that the image description page must include the exact name or a link to each article the image is used in and a separate rationale for each one. (If a link is used, automated processes may improperly add the related tag to the image. Please change the fair use template to refer to the exact name, if you see this warning.)

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 08:34, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:12" Single "Nunk" Warp 9.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:12" Single "Nunk" Warp 9.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 03:05, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I need a trusted administrator to assist me. A file was deleted. There was no discussion except by the one person who nominated the file for deletion and me. There is no licensing or copyright issue. I'd like to have the file reinstated, but I'm not sure how to proceed. Thank you.

Hi, I am not an administrator, so I can't address this issue, but if you're specifically looking for help from an administrator instead of putting "help me" inside of {{}} add "admin-help" inside of {{}} that way an administrator will come by. Happy editing. Go Phightins! (talk) 01:54, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Electro (music) does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! Dan56 (talk) 02:02, 26 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Beat Wave Single.jpeg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Beat Wave Single.jpeg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:15, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:12" Single "Light Years Away"cover.jpeg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:12" Single "Light Years Away"cover.jpeg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:56, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
