- Hi Greyjoy. I work under the Corporate Affairs, Media and Communications Department at Cell C and the information provided is not extracted from a specific source. It comes from our brand story/strategy. Please advise a way forward. Maxine Singaram (talk) 08:41, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
- Since you work for the company you have a conflict of interest and should follow the COI editing guide posted below. Greyjoy talk 01:40, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Maxine Singaram. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Cell C, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Greyjoy talk 16:22, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hi there. Can I propose the following updates to the Cell C wikipedia page.
- CEO: Jorge Mendes (2023 - current)
- Cell C Limited, based I Buccleuch, Sandton, South Africa, is a 22-year-old proudly South African customer-first mobile network operator, and an enabler that is bridging the digital divide with telecommunications and technology products and services that ensure its customers enjoy the benefits of a modern connected world.
- Cell C launched its #ChangeYourWorld brand campaign on 1 February 2021. Their repositioning is about breaking down stereotypes and striving to win against all odds. The campaign celebrates the spirit of resilience. As a proudly South African brand, they believe customers can identify with the story of making it through challenges.
