User talk:Maximejjacquet
Wikipedia for Postgraduates & Researchers
[edit]Hello again, Maximejjacquet! It was great to meet everyone yesterday at St Andrews, and I hope that you enjoyed the session. I also hope that it's made you think about the benefits of universities working with Wiki.
Now that you've learned the basics, I hope that you'll stay logged in, and do some editing. If you're not feeling bold enough to write an article straight away, why not try a small edit or two first, or adding a link or picture? Don't worry about it being perfect - Wiki is never finished, it's a constantly evolving entity. And there's a huge community of other editors who can help.
As promised, here's some links that I hope will help you get in to the swing of things:
- Really good guide to getting started
- Is your topic notable enough for an article?
- Be Bold!
- Don't let grumpy users scare you off.
- Learn from others
- How to write a great article
- A simplified manual of style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Remember, if you are writing on a talk page, please sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.
If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and ask your question there. See you soon!
