[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Clay animation. - Lets see try WP:COI, WP:SPAM, WP:USERNAME are good starting points in understanding WP policies, from there move onto WP:NOTABILITY WP:RS. Many non-US cinematic industries are under repersented on en.wikipedia we do need to have articles about them, we also ensure that the companies meet our policies and guidelines for inclusion your article did not meet the policies I have linked. Additionaly I did take into consideration the message you left on the article talk page but my understanding of russian is limited to ability of online transaltors. Please mark alternate accounts
[edit]It's probably a good idea to add a note to User:Max Sviridov linking to User:Plastili (and vice versa), that says something like "[[User:Plastili]] is an alternate account of [[User:Max Sviridov]]", so people don't think you're hiding something. --GRuban (talk) 20:37, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- many thanks for the tip! I just did!--Max Sviridov (talk) 13:30, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
Clay animation
[edit]I've dropped a note on the other user's talk page. While Wikipedia doesn't like company advertising, that's not what you're doing. I've also put a note on Talk:Clay animation to say the same. Don't revert him again yourself, with either of your accounts, or you might get into trouble yourself. I have the article watchlisted, and will see if he removes the image again. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 09:34, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
- As I also removed the image, I have commented at Talk:Clay animation.--BelovedFreak 10:12, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
- I note Max says he has created an article about his company that got deleted?? Max, that could be a WP:COI/Conflict of interest - you would naturally want to promote the company, and Wikipedia wouldn't allow it, so it might get deleted again. It is better if others write the article - you can help by providing references. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 17:11, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, thank you! I understand that. But the question is, who is English-speaking audience will be able to write an article about Russian animation studio? but just in case here's an article about my studio in the Russian Wikipedia (providing references)[[1]] ))) --Max Sviridov (talk) 18:41, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'm wholly English speaking, but Wikipedia does have some translation resources that might be of assistance here. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 21:05, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

- Information about us in English - is not a problem. Such information is for instance here [[2]]. If I understand correctly, It is better if others write the article. And certainly it is desirable that these people were not from Russia, to maintain impartiality. But it seems to me that people from English speaking countries have very little information not only about Russian animation, but everything else is happening in Russia. So if Russian will tell Americans about the Russian culture - this is called self-promotion. And the Americans to tell Americans about the Russian culture can not because they are about her, do not know.)))--Max Sviridov (talk) 10:20, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
- It's not promoting the culture, it's promoting the company that's the issue. Give me some links to the awards that the studio has received, if you can, as that really helps to demonstrate notability in Wikipedia terms. I have links to where your videos can be viewed legitimately (we loved the one with the spanish couple and the cats). I can put together the basics of the article - from what I can see your work appears in a lot of places, and Wikipedia should have an article about your studio. - Thank you very much! I'm not sure that can be easily found in the online reference to award my studio. Festivals, in which we participated took place in 1996-2003, and at that time the Internet in Russia and CIS countries was not yet so developed as today. Maybe I will enumerate here, these awards? If this is not a violation of the rules and self-promotion --Max Sviridov (talk) 17:25, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
- No, that's fine. If you list the organisation and the award and the year, that should do it. Elen of the Roads (talk) 18:26, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

- Here's a list of awards. I do not know how you will understand all these names of festivals. But maybe you can help deal with all this information who is one of the Russian-speaking audience. I could translate it all into google-translator, but I think it is better to leave the original.
