The Pretender

Thanks an unbelievable lot for making my life this little bit better :D No wonder I couldn't trace the series - the protagonist's name is spelt "Jarod"... OK, I'm moving on to get a life now :D Regards, Bravada, talk - 17:59, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

kind words

It's nice to have kind words on my User page for a change! I like your spirit of compromise. As for Arthur, Will, and Jules joining a consensus, well, the word Panglossian comes to mind :) Precis 10:28, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Much ado about nothing

Karen, please don't fret. You're the most reasonable person that I've come across in this whole affair. While no one likes to be called names, I've grown a thick skin. The on-Wiki interactions have been mostly civil, and that's the important thing. I certainly admit to my own errors in handling this matter. For one thing I have not given it sufficient attention so that I've sometimes forgotten who is who or what the current issues are. A core Wikipedia policy is to assume good faith on the part of other editors (absent a strong reason to the contrary). I look forward to working with you in the future (your skills and reasonableness would be appreciated in many fields). Cheers, -Will Beback 09:08, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Doth not mind your "first" comment thereon...

My .jpg is definately there under the Drs and I see your's as well. DrWho42 13:46, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

If it's not your forte, do you happen to know anyone who's good with coding?
I've been trying to craft a listing of programmes aired on this one programming block, but I seem to throw the whole thing into disarray when I try to add a second row after the image. Any help would be appreciated. (= DrWho42 01:34, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Ahh, alright. Thanks for the advice. Really, it's actually what I'm doing right now (I borrowed the table from List of programs broadcast by Adult Swim, and finetuned/adjusted a couple things {colours, &c}). It looks pretty spiffy as it is now, but incompleat.. (Random-note: The Cyberiad's a plusgood read). DrWho42 01:48, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Many thanks for the advice. I finally finished it up, and can be found here: List of S.C.I.F.I. World shows. DrWho42 06:41, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Tucson chime

Actually I found that relevant and interesting - even more so with your addition of a Mt. Lemmon paragraph. Mount Lemmon is certainly a major recreation area for metro Tucson, and for many years I've been curious about that back way up. (No way I'd ever drive it, though.) I appreciate that someone's pic of their motorcycles may be a bit self-aggrandizing, but if a similar pic of someone else's bikes with an appropriate caption would be considered relevant (and I think it would), then we probably should not assume that they have no value if we assume the bikes are his. Regards.... Karen | Talk | contribs 00:50, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

NO, the fact that it's a picture of motorcycles, with no relevance to Tucson is why it is not a good picture, reguardless of whos it is. I'm mad because he is consistantly trying to sneak it back in, hence the personal attack. Not to mention his website promoting BMW motorcycles! The picture does not enhance the article, it does not give it any perspective when all you see is a shot of "anytown" dirt road w/ 2 avg motorcycles, it was, and still is, clear self gratification. My blurb gave is some anchor, but it's weak at best. Somerset219 00:57, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

List of fictional books defense

Thanks -- looks like it will survive the AfD, happily :) --Bookgrrl 11:53, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi Karen. Sorry for deleting the image from this article; I've put it back. I was cleaning up after a user who had posted copyrighted lyrics to a number of articles, and accidentally got the image too. Would you like to add the quote you mentioned back into the article? You're familiar with the subject matter, so I think you'll do a much better job of integrating it into the paragraph than I would. Best, FreplySpang 13:01, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

hi i saw how good you are on expanding the L'Engle articles could you expand this one? thanks. <span style="font-family: monospace; font-size: normal"><font style="border: solid 1px orange; background-color:#991199" color="white">[[User:Kitia|Kitia</font></span><small> — <font color="#FF4F00">[[User talk:Kitia|talk]]</font> | <font color="#FF4F00">[[Special:contributions/Kitia|contrib]]</font> | <font color="#CD00CD"> 16:38, 24 July 2006 (UTC)</font></small>]] 21:38, 24 October 2006 (UTC) ">
