Stop

[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, as you did to Erica Campbell, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. f(x)=ax2+bx+c 23:22, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Users are not allowed to remove warnings from their talk page. Please do not remove this notice again. Whether Erica Campbell has approved your edit (which I very highly doubt) is immaterial. Erica Campbell does not run Wikipedia or decide its policies. If you add the link or remove the above warning again, I'll be forced to report you to the administrators, which may result in your being blocked from editing. f(x)=ax2+bx+c 23:41, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

so what rule did i violate? and yes, we DO have permission to add a link. write matt if you'd like. matt (at) mattsmodels.com --Mattsmodels 23:43, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Familiarize yourself with Wikipedia:External_links f(x)=ax2+bx+c 23:49, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

fine. so i can mention her on our user page and make an internal link. no problem. --Mattsmodels 23:50, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You agreed to allow others to modify your work. So let them. FellowWikipedian 23:58, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
well no clue what all that means, but i'll go thru the docs when i get a chance. you should give newbies a little slack rather than trying to ban them on their first day. pretty unforgiving for an "open" community. --Mattsmodels 00:31, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You deleted my welcome. FellowWikipedian 00:39, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

that's a pretty dumb statement. so you are crying cuz i deleted your welcome? did your mom not like you? --Mattsmodels 01:22, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

Even if your edit was approved, does not mean it should be on Wikipedia. FellowWikipedian 23:34, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

and who decides that? wikiGod? --Mattsmodels 23:42, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am a different user on this mattsmodels account. ah! Ok I see now. Alright "Conflict of interest". I get it, "Username" Understand that too. "Spam" Question: What is the difference between "external links" and "spam" ? Also this info is incorrect "Her (Hanna Hilton) first adult photoshoot was for the December 2006 Penthouse issue as Pet of the Month" How is that not spam especially if it's false? Thank you :)

[edit]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Hanna Hilton, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. Morbidthoughts (talk) 20:01, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Hanna Hilton, you will be blocked from editing. Morbidthoughts (talk) 20:35, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because it has been identified as an account used for promotion of a company or group, with a username that implies that this has been done by that company or group. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.

This kind of activity is considered spamming and forbidden by policies, and also violates our username policy.

However, if you feel that there has been a mistake in your blocking, please appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} on your user talk page or email the administrator who blocked you. Your reason should include your response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy (specifically, understand that accounts are for individuals, not companies or groups, and that your username should reflect this). Please check that your new username has not already been taken by checking this list. GbT/c 21:00, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
