U.S. Route 2 in New Hampshire moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, U.S. Route 2 in New Hampshire, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. –Fredddie 21:58, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The U.S. Route 12 in South Dakota article is not complete

[edit]

Hello there. The U.S. Route 12 in South Dakota article is not complete yet because you have not added enough sources, junctions to the junction list, or a map to the infobox. You are welcome to revert my edits back to your version, but please add all of the necessary things mentioned above before removing the redirect. If you wish to edit your version, I have created a draft page for you to add your edits in, and then you may add the info into the real article by copying and pasting. Please keep this in mind before actually rolling the page out to the main article space. Thank you. NoobThreePointOh (talk) 19:11, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@NoobThreePointOh: please don't make copy/paste moves like this. They beak attribution to the history of the content in violation of the licensing requirements. The advice to copy and paste content in this manner is a major policy violation with legal/copyright/licensing implications by separating the history of who contributed what from the content being contributed. Page moves resolve this issue by keeping the page history linked to the content. For instance, I had edited the article, but according to the draft, only you had edited it, disregarding the copyright in, and license to, my contributions, let alone all of MattEditor02's contributions. Telling MattEditor02 to edit the draft and then copy and paste content back would break the attribution to anyone else who might edit that draft to assist the editor.
@MattEditor02: I have reverted the edits because of these problems. An administrator may move the article to the draft location. Many of the items mentioned by Noob are not actually required to have an initial article on this topic though. For instance, the map is not required at first, so Noob's characterization that it is necessary is not correct. I would suggest filling out the junction list table as completely as possible as soon as possible. Don't worry if you're missing some mileposts; we can add them later if needed. As for sourcing the route description, just add some footnotes with citations to the appropriate maps, and you're good. I wouldn't worry about expanding the length of the RD section yet, as we have no deadline around here. Really, if you do those two things, the article is good at this point. @NoobThreePointOh What Imzadi1979 said is exactly why I created the article, not as the final product but as a starting point. MattEditor02 (talk) 23:04, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah. This completely broke the entire thing. Sorry. I won't be very hasty next time. Cheers. NoobThreePointOh (talk) 00:02, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
