Charmaine Bennell

[edit]

Hi Mary, Great work on the page you created for Charmaine Bennell. I've made a few edits just to add links, ref sections etc.. and didn't want you to feel that your work is not appreciated. You may want to check on anything I change or move around in case any intended meaning you had was lost as I have no expertise at all in either the Noongar language or Charmaine. Best Regards and keep up the good work. Hughesdarren (talk) 02:52, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much Hugh! The page looks great. I am still learning how to put these pages up and divide them up properly so I appreciate you help. Cheers Mary Blight (talk)

Laurel Nannup

[edit]

You have been busy! I did a bit more of the same with your article on Laurel as the one for Charmaine, hope it is to your liking and once again keep up the good work, let me know if I can be of any help. Hughesdarren (talk) 05:07, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again Darren Hughes (Hope I have your name right) for you help with this page too. I will keep doing pages regularly as part of the Nyungarpedia project. At the moment these pages are also in English in the Nyungarpedia project, but they will be translated into Nyungar, so I would like to have them in English Wikipedia as well. Thanks for your help and encouragement. Mary Blight (talk)

No worries and you do have my name right (Darren is fine) , good luck with Nyungarpedia too. Hughesdarren (talk) 05:45, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Glenys Collard

[edit]

Nice work on this one too! Have made some changes to refs, MOS and cats. Again you may want to check on what has been done in case any intended meaning you had was lost. If you want any pointers on how to create a more comprehensive citation let me know and I'll try to explain it in bitesize chunks. Best Regards and again thanks for all your efforts. Hughesdarren (talk) 03:35, 1 May 2016 (UTC) Thanks Darren! It looks great! I have also done one on Graeme Dixon who is a Noongar poet. I could find links for his poetry award which was great. If you see me making the same errors over do let me know and I will look at your code and use that. Mary Blight NYS (talk) 06:35, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

More articles! Did some edits to Graeme Dixon, again you should check the changes are OK. The way you add a citation isn't incorrect but it is very basic. At least you are citing whereas alot of new editors don't - so on that front you are still streets ahead. To add a bit more detail you might want to look at and use basic ref template I used in all of your articles that I've edited, if you need any help with this don't be afraid to ask. Cheers, happy editing and keep those article coming. Hughesdarren (talk) 07:45, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

York

[edit]

Thank you for your thank you. I am particularly interested in the Trimmer story as it appears to have been regarded as "cool" murder by the Colony, but nothing was done about it, possibly because Trimmer had such important connections. Another unfair incident was Heal's story (Jennings, pages 44 and 45). One of my pages on Wikipedia is Cowits, who is so interesting. I like your User page and I did not have one, so I have put something up.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Warren Burt Kimberly requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Any sense

[edit]

Do you have any sense of Kimberly's death date at all? JarrahTree 03:53, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, no I don't. He went back to the USA. I am still researching him, so if I come across it I will update it. Can you please change the entry title to spell his name as Warren Bert Kimberly? Unfortunately it is spelling wrongly for the title. I have fixed it up in the body of the entry. Thanks so much. Mary Blight NYS (talk) 04:47, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
dragging feet on that one - nothing that I have seen so far, suggests either... I would have thought the career would have caught the eye of the ADB, but not yet... JarrahTree 07:26, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
