Links to draft articles
[edit]Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Dude (song). Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 08:59, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
Got you, thanks Arjayay for the heads up! Martvibes (talk) 11:53, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hello! From your editing I am guessing you might be a GUO player? Don't worry, I am not expecting you to out yourself! I was just interested when I saw lots of names I know ticking by - and now watchlisted, of course. I am also not outing myself but I have played as an occasional semi-community semi-regular (semi-competent!) a few times, back in the day. I have been privileged to stand next to Paul and Claude a number of times while absolutely NOT claiming then or ever to inhabit even the remotest borders of the same professional space as them ... cheers DBaK (talk) 09:26, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
oh nice! not a player but a relative, noticed despite widespread coverage their works were not recorded on here and thought it'd be a fun project...it's amazing how comprehensive wikipedia seems but once you start looking in certain areas there are lots of things not covered in much detail! Martvibes (talk) 11:54, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- Aha, cool! Well, good on you for taking this on – it's great to see this stuff developing. And yes you are right – Wikipedia always seems like it knows, well, everything, until you find some little corner that you know about and, hey, what the hell, it's not covered! So yes, absolutely. And if you are on a lovely crusade with regard to GUO and its musicians, I can't help wondering if there is scope for an article about the late and sorely lamented Keith Morris? I can see that it might be tricky to have the quantity of stuff needed and to assert notability clearly enough but ... just thought I should mention him. Anyway, thanks again and more power to your elbow! Cheers DBaK (talk) 22:07, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
yes that's a good point, i noticed that he's one of the GU members who doesn't have a page here. i remember keith from when i was a kid, he was always so warm and lovely. i've made a start on his page in my sandbox, don't know if you can see that? (still working out how things operate around here) Martvibes (talk) 00:40, 14 November 2020 (UTC)
- oh and - this page has some brilliant tributes to him, and lots of fascinating detail schmazz.co.uk/keith-morris/tributes.html - though presumably not a reliable enough source for citations Martvibes (talk) 00:43, 14 November 2020 (UTC)
I get the impression there's a lot missing but I did what I could with the sources I found via Google: Keith Morris (musician). Do I need to get someone to check it over? Especially not sure if the title is right, given the other Keith Morris pages on here already Martvibes (talk) 20:45, 14 November 2020 (UTC)
- Did I ever thank you for this? I do think it is now in pretty fine fettle, as Keith himself might almost have conceivably said. So, if I didn't, well done and many thanks. I was so pleased to see it there. Yeah CoI CoI but I am good as I haven't really touched it! :) Cheers DBaK (talk) 11:03, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
I think you did but can't remember! Thanks anyway Martvibes (talk) 17:52, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
