Please start a "new section" when leaving a comment on someone's talk page.
[edit]Hi, Martin, Please click the "New section" link at the top, instead of "Edit", when you want to leave a comment (that's not part of an ongoing discussion) on someone's talk page. Then give the comment a brief subject heading. Thanks! Klortho (talk) 14:27, 7 February 2013 (UTC)
Hi Martin!
[edit]Hi Martin! Looks like we are in the same Group, Group_81H. Are you excited to be moving to France?Ppelletier (talk) 03:58, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
Hello Pauline, Yes, we are very excited, however our two boys are dragging their feet, they are at the age where they would rather stay in Ohio than travel the world, but after two weeks there, they will have forgotten about home :) I noticed you have a French name. Are your origins from there or another French-speaking country? Ciao, m a r t i n 24.140.116.60 (talk) 04:03, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
- My mother is French and came to the US when she was young. She teaches French literature in Texas (where I am from). We have family that still lives in Bois-Colombes outside of Paris. My father's parents are from Quebec, although he was born in Salem, MA. We visited France almost every summer before I left for college. I remember a trip or two to Montpellier and how beautiful it is. You are very lucky and I'm sure your sons will realize that soon enough ;p My fiance and I were seriously considering the Mediterranean coast for our honeymoon but eventually decided on Scotland ... now I am having second thoughts! - Hi, Martin, Don't forget to always make sure you are logged into Wikipedia when you make any edit or comment. Also, I notice that in your comment above you attempted to indent the lines by putting spaces in front of them. That causes them to look monospace, and be in a text box. You should use colons at the front of the line instead: one colon for one indent level, two colons for two (as this post is), etc. As an exercise, see if you can fix your post above. - Hello Chris (or should I use the handle Kortho?), it's funny, I did realize the mistake last night and made the fixes on PPelletier's talk page, but the changes seem to have disappeared. (It seems like there were problems with the connection, or might it be that there is confusion because I first signed up to the 82 section?) MartinLubell (talk) 14:24, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
- Okay. I'm not sure what other problem you are talking about here. Let me know if there's something you want me to look at. Klortho (talk) 15:28, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
- I know what happened. For some reason, the connection was bad (or Wikipedia was having trouble), and my post, after I had checked my preview, never happened. Ciao, ml. MartinLubell (talk) 16:22, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
