L'Oiseau Blanc

[edit]

Nice job expanding the French and English versions of the article! I created the English version, and am very pleased at the images you located or created. I am also just now returning from a visit to Paris, where I took pictures of the "Nungesser et Coli" street signs there, as well as a model of the plane at the Air & Space Museum, and the monument there. Though, sadly, they are no longer displaying the landing gear there, otherwise I would have taken pictures of that as well! I am planning to upload my pictures to Commons eventually, though if there are any that you would like right away, please let me know! --Elonka 16:10, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message! So sad, indeed, for the gear... I thought about going to the ASM but I'll wait some more. Maybe they'll put it back soon. Martin1813 (talk) 09:41, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have (with regret) reverted your changes here.
I appreciate you’ve done a lot of work on this, but you should have opened a discussion (or at least given notice) before making such sweeping changes, particularly as you were deleting information that was referenced by reliable sources, and replacing it with conflicting information. If the information in the sources you have contradicts the sources already given, that doesn’t mean you can just delete what is already there; it means you can present your information as an alternative.
Anyway, I've opened a discussion on the talk page there if you wish to comment. Xyl 54 (talk) 12:05, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I gave you my reasons on the discussion page. Martin // discuter 07:30, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

William Taylour moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, William Taylour, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. CollectiveSolidarity (talk) 01:54, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This was a mistake on my part, a gross indication of my incompetence. I am trying to sort this out and move your article back to mainspace. Just please remember to have in-line citations next time, alright? CollectiveSolidarity (talk) 02:21, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve William Taylour

[edit]

Hello, Martin',

Thank you for creating William Taylour.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Needs citations in-text. Otherwise a fine article

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|CollectiveSolidarity}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

@CollectiveSolidarity:, thanks for comments and improvements. It's true the article is yet a first stub I quickly wrote after having created the article on WP:FR. That one is way more detailed and reliable sources based citations are almost on every sentence, so it will shortly be translated. Martin // discuter 07:38, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
