(From the Wikipedia Manual of Style):
"Images
Further information: Wikipedia:Picture tutorial
Some general guidelines which should be followed in the absence of a compelling reason not to:
Start the article with a right-aligned image. "
The recommendation to start images right-aligned makes sense unless it results in some confusion as to the identity of the image, or the image is more important than the text. As the FIRST Central High School, it made more sense to start the History article with its image. MarsDEM 06:54, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- Mainly referring to the references. Cheers ~ UBeR 07:25, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
What's wrong with these references?? I followed a Wiki example exactly. The spps document ("From the Past to the Present") is a gigantic, 65MB PDF on the spps website - nearly unusable by anyone, unsearchable, a glob of trash with some useful facts (if you use copy and paste liberally), as one big 65MB picture (not text) - the worst and most useless reference document ever produced on a computer. But I listed it anyway, as I was barely able to scrape off some information from it, and needed to state my source. I saved it on my computer and rarely use it.
See: http://www.spps.org/sites/dd77441e-b117-423c-90a1-6fcbdcc68b6f/uploads/SPPSF.pdf
I'm sometimes unable to determine when spps is right and when they're wrong. I've found a number of mistakes in that document.
