[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Funtime (Iggy Pop song) with this edit, did not appear to be constructive, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Funtime (Iggy Pop song) with this edit. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Mark Arsten (talk) 21:16, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Funtime (Iggy Pop song) with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. Mark Arsten (talk) 21:18, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

Request reason:
I was dumb. I'm sorry. I promise not to do it again. Marqueesigns (talk) 04:14, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Declined. Although it's been a few months, you were warned. I checked some of your contribs, and you don't appear to have more than a few constructive edits so I see no reason to unblock unless you can show that you intend to participate in a constructive manner. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
If you want to be unblocked, you need to show that you understand why what you did was inappropriate, and tell us what and how you intend to edit in the future. Additionally, I am a little suspicious that your first ever edit was the creation of an AFD discussion, a fairly obscure and technical area of Wikipedia. Have you ever edited Wikipedia under another account? Yunshui 雲水 09:40, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, I did have a previous account: User:ChineseLamps. Ignore all the awful userboxes. I made this account because my previous one was blocked (also by User:Materialscientist) for replacing random images with images of Mike Patton. Do I regret it? Not really, but I wouldn't do it again and I realize how it could harm Wikipedia's credibility and waste people's time. It wastes their time by correcting it, and Wikipedia wouldn't be well-respected if it had goofy images everywhere. That is also why I believe my previous contributions were bad. While MaterialScientist was reverting my edits, he did revert one non-spam edit: A proposed deletion for City Spud. He is a rapper who had a guest appearance on two songs, made one extremely underground album, and has barely done anything. He is not at all notable. Marqueesigns (talk) 23:49, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- So in other words, this account was created to evade a block. Good luck getting it unblocked (pro tip: not gonna happen. File an (incredibly convincing) unblock request for your previous account if you genuinely want to edit Wikipedia constructively). Yunshui 雲水 00:10, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter. I'll just make a new account and Wikipedia will never find out. All of their IP bans simply wear off after a few weeks anyway, or I can simply switch my IP address. Wikipedia has an extremely ineffective blocking policy, which is why people like me roam free and spam every few days. It's really sad, because I respect Wikipedia a lot, and it sickens me to see how poorly Wikipedia handles vandalism. I've seen pages that have been nearly completely blanked or replaced with extremely offensive content, and they remain up for days without any punishment to the perpetrator. The blocks I receive prevent me from reverting any dangerous vandalism I see that restricts people from reading pages. The vandalism I do is silly stuff that does not ruin the reading experience.
