Agostic

[edit]

We can see that you are keen to contribute, which is not just nice but very admirable. But is unclear what you wish to say on the subject. I can guide you if you tell me what you think is missing. Most of the agostic stuff is quite electropilic, and that is one theme that could be developed. Carbocations and all that. The reviews by Brookhart and Green focuses on this theme, so consult these documents. The Kubas book also reviews the bonding. One suggestion (that someone taught me in a similar situation) is to avoid "this" as the subject of a sentence, for the sake of clarity. If you are a beginning student, more accessible topics related to agostic interactions are Al2Me6 and B2H6 and the associated bonding. That material is well integrated into university texts. Trimethylaluminium is an incredible compound that is the foundation for agostic stuff. --Smokefoot (talk) 04:19, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
