My mistake, read talk page more carefully. You are correct. GameKeeper 00:37, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I recently revised the Chrissy Conway article, turning the first-person narrative into third person. Because you first posted the concern regarding neutrality on the article's talk page, I was wondering if you would like to take a look at the article, and perhaps make a few changes to it. Thanks in advance! Regards, lovelaughterlife♥ (user|talk) 18:55, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Curious About REDFOX

[edit]

Hello,

My name is Chris Grant (really!) and I have been a fan of Redfox for some time; I note in your Wikipedia entry about Redfox that you had a site up for it that had originally gotten assistance from Fox and Bell. I have been doing some small press comics myself for some time and hope to exapnd on them in the near future, and Redfox was pretty much the motivational foundation that it all started on. I've painstakingly collected every issue and recently orderd the collection books through Amazon.com.

I'm wondering if Fox has done anything in the years since, he seems to have faded into obscurity near as I can tell. I'd love to find any leftovers from Fox, Bell, Valkyrie or Harrier Press, and what the current status of Redfox is. If there is even a glimmer of information you can share, I'd be in your debt. I've scoured your entry for the Neil Gaiman and Lurher Arkrwight/Brian Talbot links, but never found much about Redfox save the snippet in Gaiman's page about #20. The Refox story never ended-- it just stopped, went on hiatus, and never returned, and I always wondered what happened.

Thank you-- this is an awkward page to contact you but I could not find a email link (I'm not a regular at Wikipedia, just a very casual user). I can be contacted at coyote762@hotmail.com

Thank you. --Chris Grant —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.92.37.54 (talk) 17:49, 20 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

For reverting the sts-1 page, I was having trouble finding where to do the revert.Whstchy 23:45, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I hope I got the right version myself! I don't think anything is missing. Mark Grant 23:44, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
One problem, he's doing it again. Whstchy 23:45, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
May be easiest to let them get bored and then revert the page again in a bit rather than keep doing it every two minutes. They seem to dislike the gallery for some reason. Mark Grant 23:47, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, the also like to take info off the article for Columbia's last flight as well... I think. Whstchy 23:48, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
True, but their last change just seems to have removed the gallery heading. It's vaguely possible they think they have a good reason for that, but it makes no sense to me and they haven't added any comment on the subject. Mark Grant 23:50, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Who knows? Whstchy 23:51, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Estonian submarines

[edit]

I have found the original badge on a photo yet i havent managed to create it with editing tools yet. the address was to be the future location of the badge. Karabinier 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Well, right now it's a picture of some girl... so I'd suggest uploading the badge with name that's more relevant to the submarine rather than overwriting some other image. Mark Grant (talk) 14:05, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:SaturnF1EngineDiagram.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SaturnF1EngineDiagram.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 22:49, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Canadian PR card

[edit]

Hi Mark. My concern was that the situation isn't that simple. I felt the issue had been explained well in other parts of the article and that sentence just added confusion.

The information I have from Immigration Canada is that a PR card is required for entry via air but is not required for entry over a land border from the US. The justification is that airline staff can not make an a priori assumption that someone is a PR and so would not deliver the person to Canada[1] whereas at the land border the Immigration Canada officers can verify the status of the person by checking their computer system. A cite consistent with this should exist on the Immigration Canada website.

[1] Airlines can actually be fined for delivering someone to an immigration point who does not have either proof of onward travel or apparent right to remain in the country. Robert Brockway (talk) 04:01, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you're right, the PR card is hard to categorize. I've refined the categories a bit on the article, maybe we should create a new category for them? --Funandtrvl (talk) 05:45, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Conflicted licensing on image File:ApolloLunarEscapeSystemExample.jpg

The above noted image or media file appears to have conflicted licensing. As an image cannot be both 'free' and 'unfree', a check of the exact status of this media/image concerned is advised.Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:38, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:MockupOfPhaseAApolloToVenusTest.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:MockupOfPhaseAApolloToVenusTest.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:05, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
