Inflation

Hello--Your criticism wasn't so much of the collective work of many editors, you just happened across the inflation article after massive changes by one editor.

I was just a Wikipedia user until pretty recently. Being an editor for a couple months has taught me just how weird (and potentially untrustworthy) WP really is. Cretog8 (talk) 18:33, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Austrian School of Economics

I just rolled back the edits on this page, and would like to know that I did this in an appropriate manner.

Also, I have now run across user SturmTiger42 twice today, and both times he was making spurious edits that violated NPOV on similar themes. I would like to track his other edits, but want to avoid an edit war. One problem is clicking on his name does not give an option of "user contributions" which is the only way I know how to track an individual user's edits. Also, any advice about preventing a user from defacing articles I regard as important without getting in an edit war would be helpful. Thanks!

yes, you did do it correctly. I would also recommend using Twinkle as Cretog8 pointed out. You can also check out a user contributions by going to the person's user page, and going to User contributions underneath the toolbox menu on the left hand side. Twinkle

Hello Mark--

I was turned onto Twinkle by another user. It's particularly useful as an anti-vandalism tool, but is generally useful. For instance, if you want to revert 5 changes in a row by the same editor, or to revert to a version of the article some ways back, it makes it easy to do so. Rather than give you the whole lowdown here, you can check out the old message at my talk page. (Be careful getting used to it and using it, however, since a slip can revert more than you mean to or make implicit accusations against another editor.) Cretog8 (talk) 21:13, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

User:Dr. Blofeld has created Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/Contests. The idea is to run a series of contests/editathons focusing on each region of Africa. He has spoken to Wikimedia about it and $1000-1500 is possible for prize money.
