I was puzzled by your links to apple juice. Not really sure what you are getting at. Guettarda 21:04, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Redirect
[edit]Hi there; the system for redirect is very specific. The format is "#REDIRECT article. The Capitals and exact spacing are essential.--Anthony.bradbury 18:54, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
At the moment, I can't find the source for it. I would just like to get it down before I forget again...I believe it came on the anniversary of the chain's founding, and it was in the Globe and Mail.GoldDragon 22:55, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Mount Burgess on DYK
[edit]DYK ...that Mount Burgess is nicknamed the Ten Dollar Mountain because it was featured on Canadian currency?

Orphaned non-free media (Image:ArchonXPrizeLogo.gif)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:ArchonXPrizeLogo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:43, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Professor does not pass the WP:Professor test. His merits as seen in the page are not extraordinary in the sense he would be a major figure in geology or any science. Lappspira (talk) 17:38, 26 August 2015 (UTC)

- Keep. Normally I would say that the Canada Research Chair is a pass of WP:PROF#C5, but that criterion is really only intended to handle the case of chairs given to full professors. In this case he was given it at the same time that he was promoted from assistant professor to associate, and now (14 years later) he is strangely still stuck at the associate level. Nevertheless, I think his citation record [1] is clearly good enough for WP:PROF#C1. —David Eppstein (talk) 01:04, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

- Im starting to have dubts. The nomination was made with the information available in the article page. But now I see he has a "Canada Research Chair" and appears, by citations, to be an authority on a topic. Lappspira (talk) 09:45, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Robert Dart has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This is basically an unreferenced BLP, perhaps a vanity page, and should not exist on Wikipedia under WP:NBIO. Note 2013 article maintenance by sock of banned editor.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ☆ Bri (talk) 19:06, 16 June 2020 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Retail Council of Canada
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Retail Council of Canada, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Aasim (talk) 23:38, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
