Hello, Mohunbagani, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like this place and decide to stay.

Why can't I edit some particular pages?
Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block.
Where can I experiment with editing Wikipedia?
How do I create an article?
See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below.
How do I create citations?
  1. Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
  2. Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
  3. In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
  4. Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
  5. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like <ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>, copy the whole thing).
  6. In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
  7. If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References==
{{Reflist}}
What is a WikiProject, and how do I join one?
A WikiProject is a group of editors that are interested in improving the coverage of certain topics on Wikipedia. (See this page for a complete list of WikiProjects.) If you would like to help, add your username to the list that is on the bottom of the WikiProject page.

Merge proposal of MBSG to MBAC

[edit]

Hello, Mohunbagani, I have noticed that you have commented under the proposal in a positive way, that you believe the the MBSG a continuation of the MBAC per their social media pages and the former must to merged to later with a separate section as was before. But as per Wikipedia:Merging#Step 3: Discuss the merger, its better to add a prefix before your comment with Merge or Don't merge, so that its easy for the closing admin to understand the consensus. So I would please the required prefix before your first comment. Thank you. Drat8sub (talk) 07:31, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I also want to add that kindly read WP:CANVASS, since I have noticed that your sole purpose here is Mohunbagan, so I just requesting you to go through the guidelines so that there is no scope of Canvassing. Thank you.Drat8sub (talk) 07:42, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can you explain this a bit more? Yes my main purpose is to set the record straight about Mohun Bagan. Mohunbagani (talk) 07:45, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Mohun Bagan AC. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Specifically, this kind of edit summary is not acceptable behavior:

You know very well why I removed that content. Do not act naive. Explanation is already given in the talk page. If you add anything again without reaching a consensus in the talk page first, I will report you for vandalism.

OK, noted. Thank you for pointing out. Mohunbagani (talk) 02:39, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ISL Champion

[edit]
  • You are repeatedly editing the same thing [1], [2], [3] even after other editors in the article pointed out that, this is not the case. Did ISL announce Mumbai City as ISL champion? Answer is no. Wearing badge because they will representing India at ACL, that does not make MumbaiCity champion of ISL, it will be a WP:OR or WP:SYNTH. I hope you have no intentions of going in edit war, the trend of your edit shows that only. Drat8sub (talk) 13:29, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    No I do not have any intention of going into any war, but if ISL lets a team wear the Champions badge, then they are the Champions. It is pointless to speculate about their motivation behind doing this. Mohunbagani (talk)^ Mohunbagani (talk) 13:50, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    In this case, saying if...team wear the Champions badge, then they are the Champions is a concern of NPOV, OR, SYNTH. Since, you are new here I am trying my best to make you understand this multiple times. I can understand you don't understand why it should not be written as champion, did ISL or AIFF mentioned this, that Mumbai is 2022-23 ISL champion? No, perhaps they will never do that, it's morally so wrong, awarding someone a trophy and snatch that from them later. This season we will see the premier as champion and the playoff might be abolished all together, we don't know yet. If such happen, we can write accordingly. But for now they did mention and every possible Reliable source mentioned Mohun Bagn as 2022-23 ISL champion. I hope this time I'm able to make you understand that in wikipedia we write only when things are announced. And we don't write one so called journalist's view and opinion in wikipedia. Thank you. Your user name

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Mohunbagani", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because usernames which primarily consist of the name of a company, orgainzation, sports team, etc. are not allowed per WP:PROMONAME. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:54, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your username is basically the letter "i" added to Mohun Bagan, which means it quite close to being WP:PROMONAME. Given that pretty much all of your edits so far are also related to "Mohun Bagan", you might want to consider further tweaking your username to personalize it a bit more to avoid any misunderstandings. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:59, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
