Hello Mariannehoullou and welcome to Wikipedia! I've noticed that so far you've only posted your biography on your userpage and asked a question on the helpdesk about why it hasn't shown up in Google. I don't know if you saw the responses there, but you may want to check out this page about the acceptable use of userpages. In a nutshell, "User pages are for communication and collaboration. While considerable leeway is allowed in personalizing and managing your user pages, they are community project pages, not a personal website, blog, or social networking medium. They should be used to better participate in the community, and not used to excess for unrelated purposes nor to bring the project into disrepute." I'm bringing this to your attention because, at first glance, it appears that your userpage exists solely as a kind of social networking page, which is not allowed.

That being said, I understand that editing on Wikipedia can be a bit overwhelming and intimidating. If you have any questions about what to do or how to do it, you can ask another question on the helpdesk or drop me a line on my talk page here. If you'd prefer to read things yourself, there's a nice introduction here.

Good luck and happy editing! There's lots to do, so I hope you'll decide to participate. Matt Deres (talk) 03:04, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
