Video game industry
[edit]Hello, I wanted to further explain why I've removed your recent changes at Video game industry. Your edits contained a ton of style errors - these were mostly fine points, such as unnecessary capitalization, inappropriate bolding, missing punctuation, and excessive overlinking of the same phrases. (I'll attach a message about the Manual of Style below - please do read that when you have time.) Errors like this are something other editors can always fix, but at a certain point, when every sentence needs fixing, the onus is on the contributing editor to fix as many of the issues as possible - it's just asking too much cleanup work from others.
Much of the content you added looked useful, but was perhaps misplaced within the article. In several spots you added the phrase "The Video Game Industry began..." after several facts about the industry had already been discussed. This created redundancies and odd chronology within the article.
Thank you for trying to improve the article (and for including sources - always appreciated!). Don't be discouraged by this removal of your changes - please just take it as an opportunity to take a deeper look at the article, and try to add the content in a way that's more wiki-standard. If you have any questions, please let me know (here or on my talk page). Thanks, Jessicapierce (talk) 17:46, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 17:46, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
