A thought
[edit]Hi Manofflogan, if an experienced editor may make an unsolicited suggestion: I think you should keep the discussions about Zee Zindagi on their relevant talk pages, and not pursue them on TRPOD's talk page. This is mostly a matter of practicality, so that other editors don't need to jump around to a bunch of places to discuss. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:35, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
- I have no issues with keeping the discussion on those pages. My issue is that "TheRedPenOfDoom" has his idea on a wikipedia page should look like and is not interested in consensus. If the editor were to mention on the talk page that certain entries violate some wikipedia rule, I would gladly try to fix them. But the editor goes about unilaterally deleting entries because he (I am assuming that the person is male) thinks that the entries violate wikipedia guidelines. I have visited similar pages to check the template for the list of programs broadcast by the network. You will find that almost every network wiki page follows "Present", "Past" and "Future" programming template. You will see that I have referenced those pages in my edits. Why is he the only editor that thinks these sections are not "notable", or serve as advertising or that the entries are not important enough? There are other editors who do not object. I would also like to point out that in the "TRPOD" has had a history of getting into edit wars because of his viewpoint to the extent of being topic banned. See https://www.google.com/search?q="TheRedPenOfDoom"+gamergate I have not used the language that he has used in the past.
- I want to point out that I have no issues with your point of WP:CRYSTAL. Oh, one more thing, I would appreciate it if you can reply to my question asking for clarification on your talk page.ManOfLogan

Reformatting is suggested
[edit]Hi Manoflogan, if I may, I think you might want to consider re-formatting this edit. We don't interrupt other users' comments to reply statement-by-statement here. If you want to reply, you should leave the editor's comment be, then reply underneath their comment using proper indentation. (Which you can do by adding colons : and :: and ::: as needed). If you want to quote and reply to a specific statement, please use {{tq|"The statement you are quoting"}} which will render out nicely as:
"The statement you are quoting"
- From my perspective, your statement is flawed because... (and then remember to sign your edit with four tildes ~~~~)
Inappropriate refactoring of talk page comments is typically considered irritating, and I want you to have a fair chance here. I hope my explanation helped. If it's confusing, just undo your edit, and reply anew underneath TRPOD's as best you can. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 06:08, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
- I did not know of tq paradigm to quoting. This was my equivalent of inlining my replies as I have done in my emails. I will try to reformat my answers right away. Thanks.Manoflogan (talk) 07:18, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for August 31
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of programmes broadcast by Zindagi TV, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jackson Heights. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

[edit]Are User:Manoflogan and User:50.196.167.154 the same? If so, now that you have a user account, please avoid editing logged out, which both identifies your geographic address and can be confusing by appearing to be two different people. In contentious cases, editing both with your user name and with your IP address can be especially confusing. If the registered user Manoflogan and the IP are two different people, this should be clarified. Robert McClenon (talk) 22:26, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
- I am the same person. I tried creating a dispute resolution in Internet Explorer, but saw a pop up that prevented me from doing so. I then logged on to Firefox and was able to do so. I forgot to log in when using Firefox.

- Yes, I have had occasional issues editing on Internet Explorer, which is my primary browser. Sometimes, the edit boxes disappear occasionally, or the submit button does not work. Some times I have forgotten to log on my second choice browser, which I used if I have problems with Internet Explorer. Manoflogan (talk) 05:24, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

Unexplained deletion
[edit]Please note that I reverted your edit to Sarwat Gilani as you removed sourced content without any edit summary or explanation. Per Help:Edit summary, please ensure you include an edit summary explaining your edits. Thank you,--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:33, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
- Ponyo: I removed the career section because it was not source. I quote the following text. Gilani's notable roles include Ishq Gumshuda and Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan. She made her film debut in 2013 with Anjum Shahzad's Dil Mera Dharkan Teri.. What makes them notable? This is not stated. There is no citation that shows that Sarwat Gillani's debut was Dil Mera Dhadkan Teri. If you look at Sarwat_Gilani#Filmography, you will notice that the section states her debut was Shaadi Aur Tum Say. This directly contradicts what is stated in the career section. I still stand by edits. I made a mistake in not adding a summary. I would like to revert your changes, if you don't mind. I don't wish to get into edit wars, but statements in the career section and the filmography tabular information don't match.Manoflogan (talk) 23:47, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
- In that same edit you also removed statements that were supported by inline citations. Please do clean-up articles, it's certainly helpful, but please include clear accurate edit summaries explaining your edits, especially when you are removing sourced content.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 19:02, 31 May 2016 (UTC)

Deletion from Parwaaz Hay Junoon
[edit]You revert edits on Parwaaz Hay Junoon saying its a "Promotional content", prove me or show me how it is promotional? In production section, statements from crew are being quoted citing references, information and details, that are allowed. Every information i wrote is not in a bragging or immature way and is completely written in WP:TONE, do not remove any content without discussion. Look/visit different film articles to explore how the film making details are usually written or consult at least before undoing any edits. Nauriya (Rendezvous) 18:53, September 11, 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Nauriya Let us go over the statements one by one. I refer to this quote
from WP:TONE implies that the description should be dispassionate and impersonal. I don't need to tell you that all statements on Wikipedia should be objective, and devoid of any personal opinion. The tone, however, should always remain formal, impersonal, and dispassionate.
- Hi Nauriya Let us go over the statements one by one. I refer to this quote
The statement
Commenting on project Duraid said, "It gives us an opportunity to bring to our nation, the passionate story of brave men and women who rise above the earth, to the top of the atmosphere, and guard our motherland
resembles a press release statement. There is no place for wikipedia to have press release statements. Simply put, a statement The film is intended as a tribute to Pakistan air force should suffice. The flowery quotes don't imply objectivity. How is this statement
He further said, "You can see how interesting it will be when we put actors as warriors on camera. I believe Hamza and Osman are going to bring a lot of charisma to Parwaaz Hay Junoon.
supposed to be objective? This is an opinion of the person, and does not pass the objectivity test. Simply put, a statement that Osman Khalid Butt and Hamza Ali Abbasi have been cast in the film should suffice, because that is objective statement. The opinion of a person or persons is subjective, and does not merit a mention in Wikipedia. The statement
Describing their roles inspiration, Abbasi said, "As an actor, this is the biggest achievement for me that I can do something for my country. I want to thank the Pakistan Air Force for giving me this opportunity. Today, we are where we are, in this fancy hotel, having this conversation, because of these brave soldiers who sacrifice their lives to protect our right to live peacefully.
is an opinion stated by Abbasi. What is the proof of this statement? This fact can not be successfully proven upon challenge. As this is not a fact that can be proven, it should not be used on Wikipedia. Similarly the quotes by Butt as given below:
While Butt said, "I was always a little bit of a Daredevil and once someone told my sister that I should be a pilot. Since then I have romanticized the idea and now thanks to this opportunity, I will get to do in my reel life what I couldn’t do in my real life.
is again an opinion of himself expressed by Mr. Butt, and therefore should be excluded from Wikipedia The statement
The film's female protagonist wasn't revealed in press release, to address this Momina said, "we haven’t announced our leading lady. It’s a secret. We will announce her next month, [before which] we would want the viewers to give us suggestion as to who they want to see with [Hamza and Osman]."[6] In choosing other cast she revealed, "We are trying to show real-life air force pilots, real-life air force personalities to give [a realistic feel] to the film. So other than the lead actors, the cast is from the Pakistani air force.
does not convey any information. Simply "The leading lady has not been cast."
should suffice.
The statement
The script is entirely based on real life events, taken from PAF cadets life and routine operations.
. What proof do you have of this? This is an opinion expressed by some one because if you consider the next statement.
Writer Farhat Ishtiaq who previously worked with Duraid in film Bin Roye is set to write the film.
implies that the script has not been written. This means that this quote contradicts the previous one. If that is case, then the two statements should not be included. Consider this quote
On writing script, Ishtiaq said, "The film is more about drama and real-life situations in the context of the air force and my main concern was to not make it too preachy," she furtjer said, "but rest assured, the audience will leave the theaters with a heightened sense of patriotism once it is over.
does not convey anything. This is an opinion by the writer, and something that has not been proven. Hence it should not be included in wikipedia.
So to conclude, the only thing that can be objectively stated is that "Hamza Ali Abbasi" and "Osman Khalid Butt" have been cast in the film, but no leading lady has been cast yet. The only other fact that can be conclusively stated that Momina Duraid is going to produce the film written by Farhat Ishtiaq. Pakistan Air Force will be providing logistical support. Every thing else is subjective, and therefore should be excluded. That is why I deleted the content that you included and added back. I will be seeking the opinion of experienced wikipedia editors as well.
- Fair enough, i will be looking and revise all those points you mentioned. And will try to omit as much as i can to avoid any violation.
Nauriya (Rendezvous) 21:09, September 12, 2016 (UTC)
- I just reviewed and remove all those points you mentioned after reviewing myself. More constructive and comprehensive details will be there in future, so i will edit then providing more revealing details.
