Philanthropy
[edit]I agree with you that it is absurd to use the title "philanthropy" at Jenna Elfman. Also, I think the messages addressed to you are inappropriate. However, it is true that all articles connected with Scientology are on "probation" (see WP:General sanctions). However, that just means that we must be particularly careful to be civil and not edit war. It would be a mistake to take the bait and react in an emotional manner with uncivil language. Just calmly discuss the issues. Johnuniq (talk) 23:33, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
- I am going to take a step back, and give in to the Scientology kabal that is obviously in effect here. I do think that a good strategy for that wacked-out cult to appear more mainstream would be to edit wikipedia articles to be "NPOV" and treat them like they are actually a religion. This is because a lot of people treat this site as their primary source for information. I honestly don't care enough to research wiki policy, I don't know or care who Arbcomm is. fuck it, I'll forget it and try to stay away from celebrity-scientologist pages for now. 128.223.130.150 (talk) 14:45, 30 October 2009 (UTC) oops, that was me, mislih 14:45, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
I posted a supportive comment above, so I want to record that I totally oppose your edit which added incivility to the talk page. Civility is fundamental to Wikipedia and you should consider striking your comment and issuing an apology. Johnuniq (talk) 00:54, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- It was pretty obviously a joke, so I don't think it's a big deal. mislih 15:33, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- Ha, now he's wiki-stalking me trying to provoke me. I'm not the only immature one here. mislih 20:31, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
